4 I/O Port Sensors I/O Port Sensors I/O to RJ Remote Sensor Converter (CCAT) This handy accessory enables connection of I/O devices into RJ12 jacks on Geist units. Device is programmed for the specifi c sensor and available for use with Geist I/O remote sensors. Basic & Monitored Power Monitor - I/O Sensors (-48VDCM & 30VDCM) Continuously track the charge of telephone batteries or cell phone system power with -48VDCM or 30VDCM sensors. Designed for telephony battery voltage monitoring and other applications requiring monitoring a DC voltage, these sensors monitor voltage via the I/O inputs on Geist units. Power Over Ethernet (PoE) Power Geist Environmental Monitors and web cameras over Ethernet cable. Power over Ethernet eliminates the need to run 110/220VAC power to wireless access points and other devices on a wired LAN. Installers only need to run a standard CAT5 cable that will carry both data and power to each device. A PoE confi guration consists of two components; an injector and a splitter. The injector takes data from an Ethernet hub and power from a wall outlet and outputs both data and power through a CAT5 cable. The splitter is placed at the end of the CAT5 cable, returning data and power to their respective cables. A rack without blanking panels can result in thermal damage due to improper cooling as well as excessive energy consumption and an increased carbon footprint.
