6 Scope & Certification Standard 6/52 Application Scope Applied to testing methods and valuation criteria of photovoltaic inverters ((grid-connected, stand-alone) that are lower than 10kW rated power. 8 PV inverter Classification 8/52 Classification of photovoltaic inverters Classified into stand-alone type and grid connected type, according to their use. 9 9/52 Testing Condition Measuring instrument Use one of the analog and digital meter, or use both of them. The accuracy of measuring instrument should be the same or higher as level 0.5 except waveform recording devices. They accuracy of waveform recording devices should be the same or higher as level 1. If necessary, use additional measuring instruments(such as oscilloscope) appropriately. Photovoltaic array simulation power supply (DC power supply) As used to simulate photovoltaic array output characteristic, this power supply should be able to output photovoltaic array's current-voltage characteristic. Equivalent to arbitrary radiation intensity and arbitrary device temperature, Output power, equivalent to, at least, inverter's over-input capability.

10 Testing Condition 10/52 System simulation power supply (AC power supply) As used to simulate system for power, it should be able to keep the set voltage and frequency. Change the voltage and frequency optionally. Generate distortion of designated voltage. Simulation distribution line impedance apparatus It is used to simulate distribution line impedance of system. It should be able to generate standard impedance of IEC standard. Load system As used for inverter's load tests, it consists of Linear and nonlinear(motor) loads. It should be able to consume maximum power, equivalent to inverter's overload capability. Change power factor in a designated range. In the case of three-phase load. It should be able to generate load unbalance in a designated range.

Marks of using and manufacturing Marks of certification equipment should include, at least, the following matters.
