1 Large display AC frequency indicator The is a sophisticated microprocessorbased indicator designed specifically to monitor AC frequency. Intuitive scrolling text menus, (activated from the front panel), guide you step by step through the calibration process, and the large 4-digit display ensures that the figures can be easily read from a distance. 2 SECTION 2 - WIRING For your safety, please ensure that your power supply is SWITCHED OFF during the wiring process. DO NOT connect your low voltage (LV) controller to mains power. 1. Connect your to the power supply. (Refer to Fig 1 & Fig 2.1.) Supply either low voltage (15-48V AC, 10-72V DC - black connector) or high voltage (85-265V AC, V DC - orange connector) from your power supply to the 2-way plug as indicated in Fig 1. Polarity is not an issue - positive and negative (DC) and live and neutral (AC) can be switched around. 2. Wire your IF06 analog input module. (Refer to Fig 2.2.) The input module comes pre-calibrated. Power supply Fig 1 3. Power up your controller. Once you have completed the wiring process, it is safe to switch on your power supply. Make sure that your display is functioning before you proceed. For information on wiring your functional pins (Fig 2.3), see Appendix D. 3 SECTION 3 - CALIBRATION Begin by pressing F1. 1. a EntEr CAL Pin number and 0 scroll across. Use the and buttons to enter your security code (factory default 1). Then press P. If the correct PIN number is entered then the setup is started at (2.a.). If an incorrect PIN number is entered, incorrect Pin number - ACCESS denied scrolls across the display and it returns to the normal operating mode. 2. a input SEtuP and SKiP scroll across. Press P to skip to (3.), or the button to Entr (enter) input setup. Then press P. b display rounding scrolls across. Using the and buttons, select the display rounding: either none, 2, 5 or 10. Then press P. Refer to Appendix A for an explanation on averaging parameters. 3. a AVErAGinG PArAMEtErS and SKiP scroll across. Press P to skip to (4.), or the button to Entr (enter) averaging parameters setup. Then press P. b AVE SAMPLES and the currently selected averaging scroll across. Using the and buttons, alter the signal averaging. Then press P. c AVE WinDoW and the currently selected averaging window value scroll across. Using the and buttons, alter the signal averaging window. Then press P. 4. a Edit CAL Pin number and SKiP scroll across. Press P to skip and return to the operational display, or the button to Entr (enter). Then press P. b EntEr new CAL Pin number and your current PIN number (factory default 1) scroll across. Using the and buttons, enter your new calibration entry PIN number. Do not forget this number! Then press P to EXIT and return to the operational display. IF YOU LOSE YOUR PIN NUMBER: Press, and P at the same time. A factory identification text will scroll across the display, followed by: ALL Pin numbers reset to 1. This will reset the calibration PIN number to its factory default of

The assembly consists of a base and cover with a cam hinge and key-lock fastening mechanism. An O-ring forms a seal between the base and the panel. A key-lock employs a cam locking device to force the spigot into the recess, ensuring seal integrity. A safety catch keeps the cover closed when the key is removed. 5 APPENDICES Appendix A - Averaging AVErAGinG PArAMEtErS: The has windowed input signal averaging for stable measurement and fast response. AVE SAMPLES: This is the number of input samples the meter will average. AVE WinDoW: If the input exceeds the window value it will not average. This enables fast response. The display flashes bri and the current brightness setting. Use the and buttons to set the required brightness. Then press P. Appendix C - Peak/Valley Display Peak: Valley: To view the maximum (peak) frequency value, press the button for ½ a second. The display flashes PEAk and shows the maximum measured frequency value since the instrument was turned on (or since it was reset). Press P to return to the operational display. To view the minimum (valley) frequency value, press the button for ½ a second. The display flashes VALY and shows the minimum measured frequency value since the instrument was turned on (or since it was reset). Press P to return to the operational display. To reset either the peak or valley value, press both the and buttons together while the required parameter is being displayed. Peak and valley can also be reset using an external switch connected to the lock and capture pins at the rear of the meter. (See Appendix D.) Appendix D - Functional Pins Connecting external switches between the following functional pins at the rear of the meter enables the following functions to be performed: -5-
