The range includes varying sizes and capabilities and consists of thirteen standard models, seven with touch-screen interface and six with keypad interface. The touch-screen models feature 3.5 to 15 inch displays, with a number of models and sizes also available in black and black sun-readable versions. The data can be bridged to a controller using the data exchange function. EXTER panels support the NMEA 0183 communication standard, affording you the option of easy connection for communication with third-party GPS receivers. Information Designer With Information Designer s easy-to-learn usability, it s simple to create applications that are logical and user friendly for the operator, enabling flexible and efficient interfaces between systems, machines and operators. Less than 10 minutes is all you need to get your first application running and a wide selection of ready-made objects and functions enables you to create applications by just pointing and placing on the screen - you can see exactly how the final result will appear. Projects are created in a visual environment that gives a complete overview in the project manager so you can see what is happening in the process. Dynamic screens for dynamic applications Changing object properties make it easier for the user to visualize and understand a chain of events. Information Designer allows changes in color, scale, embedded texts and other object properties to be triggered by signals from the connected controller system. Off-line simulator for instant testing To save valuable commissioning time, Information Designer has an integrated off-line simulator. This lets the application developer thoroughly test and verify HMI operation using only a PC. The off-line simulator allows installation of any of the EXTER drivers, and makes it possible to check the continuity of project elements such as screens, alarms and dynamic objects. This makes the simulator a valuable tool throughout the planning, demonstration, commissioning and installation phases. All objects can be adjusted during runtime using dynamic properties. What You See Is What You Get A full graphic environment lets the developer see how the final application will appear to the operator. One block is equivalent to one screen on the operator panel display, so the developer simply selects and places objects from the toolbox. Vector-based graphics allow static and dynamic objects to overlap freely, creating high application flexibility.

Marine Panel IPC and Marine Monitor solutions Seeking a robust PC that was not only compatible with severe industrial environments but also satisfied the stringent requirements of major nautical certification societies, Beijer Electronics developed shock and vibration resistant Marine Panel IPCs that are also functional throughout comprehensive temperature changes. The standard model Marine Panel IPC, the EPC Nautic, was developed as a hard-disk drive model with Windows XP as the standard operating system and without a CPU fan. Resistance to shock, vibration and temperature fluctuations are desirable mass memory qualities that standard officeenvironment hard-disk drives fail to deliver in challenging industrial or maritime environments. Beijer Electronics hard-disk drive solutions employ the same demanding standards utilized for the robust and durable hard-disk drives found in automobiles.
