3 Planned s (status Oct 9, 2015) Factory Automation & Control / Motor drives demo stations Drives Programmable Logic Control, Industrial Communication Multi-protocol position encoder On the fly detection and connection of leading position feedback protocols with AM437x Industrial Development Kit. Absolute position encoders with EnDAT 2.2, Hiperface DSL and BiSS C are implemented on Industrial Communication Sub-System on Sitara AM437x. DesignDRIVE PosiTIonManager C2000 -based integrated interfaces for analog and absolute encoder position sensors (EnDat22, BiSS, SIN/COS, Resolver). This demo is controlled by EtherCAT slave communications and delivered on the DesignDRIVE Industrial Drives Development Kit platform. C2000 LaunchPad industrial showcase C2000 -based platform enabling quick and simple evaluation for industrial drives applications. This demo showcases dual axis motor control, EtherCAT slave communications and power supply generation. AM57xx industrial control platform Industrial Communication and Control Platform for Industry 4.0. provides seamless connection between Profinet and EtherCAT networks with an OPC/UP uplink for higher layer services. Time synchronization between real-time Ethernet networks. Runs on new AM571x Industrial Development Kit.

This time the application shown is a safe PLC (Programmable Logic Control). Table behind partner wall Industrial Power Industrial Power The demo shows a modular battery charger, designed to manage and charge batteries. Typical application for the system is charging batteries in fork lifters, tow tractors. It can be used with small modifications to generate the 48V telecom bus, and charge electric vehicles. Sensing Table with info screens Sensing, Industry 4.0, TI Designs, Wireless Sensor networks Factory automation section: Objective is to showcase an entire field transmitter system connected to a PLC input module to demonstrate with HART and 4 20mA loop interoperability with industry standard PLC. Sensing Table SVA section: Showcasing a variety of position sensing demos (rotation, speed, presence, proximity, push) using inductive and capacitive sensing technology. A level sensing demonstration using different sensing technologies (capacitive & ultrasonic sensing) and environmental sensing with integrated humidity & temperature sensors.

Multiple devices/multiple sensors/wirelessly connected and controllable with additional component of being able to view locally or in the cloud.
