3.5.- STARTING UP THE DEVICE To start communication with the device it is necessary: 1.- To have access to the Internet through a wireless network. 2.- To check that the following ports are open: - Port 8080 for Http Get / Post. - Port 53 for DNS - Port 80 for Internet Note: The Orange Livebox Next router is incompatible with Wibeee devices when in WPA/ WPA2 security mode and they do not connect. When in only WPA2 mode they connect correctly. The Wibeee's data can be accessed in two ways: Application mode. Direct share mode APPLICATION MODE In application mode, the data measured by the Wibeee is uploaded to the cloud and accessed using the Wibeee CIRCUTOR application. When using this mode, the Wibeee and the user who has configured it are linked, so the user can control the device, view the data that has been sent and the charts and manage groups of devices. To start the device in application mode, follow these steps: 1.- Scan the QR code to download the application or download it from: Open the Wibeee CIRCUTOR application. And follow the steps that it indicates. 15

DIRECT SHARE MODE In direct share mode the Wibeee's data is directly accessed from the device's integrated web server, so you can view the measurements being captured at that moment in real time and manually configure the device. This allows you to change parameters, such as the server and port to which the Wibeee will send the data. If you configure a Wibeee while using this mode, there is no link between the user and the device, so the only way to access the device when it is connected to the network is by knowing its IP address and accessing it using a search tool. To start the device in direct share mode, follow these steps: 1.- On a smartphone/tablet, use the Wi-Fi connection's settings to connect to the Wibeee. 2.- You can get access to the net configuration and instant measurements through your browser, at the address: User: user Password: user 16

3.6.- CALIBRATION When the device has been installed and started, it needs to be calibrated. The calibration process appears automatically in the Wibeee Circutor mobile application during installation. Follow these steps: 1.- When the device has been successfully installed, measure the current of the L1 with a current clamp, and enter the value on the calibration screen, Figure 13. Note: calibration should be performed when the device has a current flow of A. Figure 13: Calibration screen. 2.- Repeat the calibration process for each of the device's measurement cables. If you skip the calibration process while installing the device, the accuracy of the measurements is not guaranteed. If the measurement cables are replaced or moved after calibration has been performed, it must be repeated. You can calibrate the device again via the Edit menu. 17

4.- OPERATION OPERATING PRINCIPLE The Wibeee is a power consumption measurement device with a Wi-Fi wireless connection to display or download the data that is measured, using any smartphone, tablet or PC. Fast blinking light (<1s) : Connected to a Wi-Fi network. Steady light: Data being sent over the network BUTTON The device has a Reset button, Figure 16, to restore the device's factory settings (hold it down for more than 6 seconds). Reset Reset Reset L2 L3 Figure 16:Reset Button START-UP During the start-up of the device, the Wibeee goes through different states: 1.- Configuration state Blue LED Slow blinking light (1s) Red LED Slow blinking light (1s) In this state, the Wibeee generates its own Wi-Fi network called WIBEEE_xx:xx:xx. It is only used to configure the device and connect it to the user's network. If you want to return to this state to obtain the initial conditions, you should hold down the Reset button for more than 6 seconds. The device deletes any previous settings and restores the default values. 2.- Connecting... state Blue LED Off Red LED Slow blinking light (1s) In this state, the Wibeee is managing the connection with the router/access point. This state should last for 40 seconds, when there is good Wi-Fi coverage. In places where there is weak Wi-Fi coverage, it may take longer. 20

If it takes longer than 2 minutes, it is recommended to return to the initial state, check the Wi-Fi coverage and re-start the process. If it is unable to connect to the Wi-Fi, the device retries 5 times. If the lack of connection persists, it goes into Configuration mode (so that the configuration can be changed without opening the panel) for 5 minutes; it then tries to reconnect again and, until it manages to reconnect, it remains in this alternating mode. (5 minutes in the Configuration state and 1 attempt to connect). 3.- Connecting state Blue LED Fast blinking light (<1s) Red LED Slow blinking light (1s) In this state, the device has connected to the Wi-Fi network and is waiting to complete the first successful transfer of data. When it first manages to successfully send data, it will enter the Connected and sending OK state. If the device is not able to successfully send the first set of data, it will retry 3 times. If it does not manage to send it, the Wi-Fi connection is restarted and it retries sending the package 3 times. It remains in this state until the first data is successfully sent. 4.- Connected and sending OK state Blue LED Steady light. Red LED Slow blinking light (1s) When the device is configured and connected to the network in the user's infrastructure, it automatically starts sending data on the installation's power consumption to the server (every minute). It also allows you to access instant measurements by making requests to its internal XML and Modbus servers. 21

6.- WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS USAGE ENVIRONMENT AND HEALTH Wireless communications emit radio frequency electromagnetic energy, like other radio devices. Because wireless communications operate within the guidelines found in radio frequency safety standards and recommendations, they are safe for users to use. In certain environments or situations, the use of wireless communications may be restricted by the owner of the building or the representatives responsible for the organisation. These situations include: The use of wireless connections on board aircraft, in hospitals or near to service stations, blasting areas, medical implants or electronic medical devices implanted in the body (pacemakers etc.). In any other environment where the risk of interference with other devices or services is identified as hazardous. If you are unsure about the policy implemented regarding the use of wireless devices in a specific organisation (airport, hospital, etc.), it is advisable to ask for authorisation to use wireless communications Wi-Fi COMMUNICATIONS Wi-Fi is one of the most widely used wireless technologies today, for connecting and exchanging information between electronic devices without having to connect them physically. The Wibeee has Wi-Fi communications in the 2.4 GHz band, compliant with standard IEEE MODBUS TCP PROTOCOL The MODBUS protocol is an industry communication standard that enables the network connection of multiple devices, where there is a master and multiple slaves. The MODBUS functions implemented in the device are: Function 0x03. Reading of multiple registers. This function is used to request the desired measurement parameters from the Wibeee Modbus server. Function 0x05. Writing of a specific register. This function is used to delete the Wibeee's energy meters. If the Wibeee receives a function request other than those above, or for non-specified memory registers, the device identifies this as an Illegal error and responds with the appropriate exception code. 40

As it is a MODBUS TCP server, the device number internally assigned to the Wibeee is 1. By default, once configured, the Wibeee starts to send data over the internet to the CIRCUTOR server. If you want to stop this data from being sent (for example, because the local network does not have an Internet connection) you have to set a data refresh time of -1. This way, the device is only waiting to handle MODBUS requests MODBUS MEMORY MAP All MODBUS map addresses are in hexadecimal format.
