3 Supporting tool for: installation and maintenance of standard and reduced-size Eurobalise balise groups, of any version, complying with Eurobalise specifications; diagnostics of the operating condition of a balise group consisting of fixed balises or switchable balises, by analysing the Up Link signal transmitted from the balise to the onboard subsystem checking completeness of the signals coming from LEU to the balise group programming and configuring LEU, LEU2G and PGWO products diagnosing, both on-line and off-line, the failures detected on the balises and/ or on the connection with LEU/LEU-2G/ PGWO. checking the operating condition of the Tele Powering signal interface. The tool, including the accessories required for proper operation, is fully contained into a plastic case fitted with handle. Tool solidity, low weight and friendly handling make this tool particularly suitable for operations on line or on site. Basic programming and testing functions of balise groups can be carried out without opening the case, just by positioning the case on the balise and making use of the wireless connection or by connecting the cable to the balise connector. For safety reasons, besides convenience, the operator shall interface using any handheld computer/smart phone fitted with WiFi interface and suitable to support a Web browser. The Tool acts as a Web Server, displaying on the handheld computer the menu pages the operator shall use for interfacing with the equipment in an elementary and intuitive manner. Operator shall therefore work at safe distance from the railway line. The BPT-2G tool can operate both in wired and in wireless mode. 1
