14 PRECAUTIONS WITH GPIO PINS Permanent damage can be caused to the Raspberry Pi by: Connecting a 5V supply to any pin Shorting the 3.3V 3V or 5V supply pins to any other pin Arduino (5V) devices connected to the Pi (3.3V)
