3 Metering & Protection Digital Metering Systems Integra 1221 Digital Metering System Integra 1221 The Crompton Instruments INTEGRA 1221 digital metering system (dms) from TE Connectivity enables cost effective solution for the measurement and display of all electrical parameters including total harmonic distortion (THD) and individual, up to the 63rd harmonic. Display High definition screen features programmable backlight for high contrast visibility in low light and direct sunlight applications. The light can be programmed to automatically dim after set period of time for energy saving. New petal array icons shows the percentage of full scale power of the measured system and the instantaneous power factor (PF) measurement gives clear PF indication. Total power consumption is displayed on the screen at all time. Q2C Wiring Solution INTEGRA 1221 dms and the 3-in-1 current transformers include RJ12 plugs and sockets for easy connectivity and installation and the solution is available with wired looms to reduce assembly time and connection errors. IN-OUT voltage connections reduce wiring and installation time. Communication Modbus RS85 RTU and two pulsed outputs are fitted as standard. Enclosure and System The DIN 96 panel mounted enclosure includes integral panel mounting clips for quick and easy fitting and to suit user requirements, the range includes single-phase, three-phase three-wire and three-phase four-wire capability, all selectable at the point of installation. 14 Metering & Protection Digital Metering Systems Digital Meters, 262 Series The 262 series are a range of digital panel meters. These meters are versatile in their measuring range which includes AC and DC current/voltage. 262 Series Digital Meters Some versions allow display blanking and hold. The meter front is totally sealed and when panel mounted with an optional gasket is hose proof to IP66, allowing washing and use in wet areas, e.g. food industry, quarries, portable test gear. Other parameters, e.g. Watts, VAr, VA, PF, temperature etc. may be measured using an additional transducer from our transducer range. Panel mounting is quick, with two corner clamps tensioned by thumb screws or alternatively by a quick-fix ratchet. Other than the frequency versions, these instruments can be powered by a variety of AC or DC supplies. Care has been taken to provide isolation from the measured input signal. The modules offer relay setpoints, analogue output or ModBus communications, which are easily installed, without the need for dismantling or re-calibration. 262-RLY Dual Relay Output Mode Two independent setpoint relays are contained in this plug-in module. Connection is via a 5-way removable tension clamp plug. Since the series can accept two option modules, if two relay modules are fitted, four programmable setpoints are available. All alarms can be inhibited for a time period after power-up. 262-ALG Isolated Analogue Output This plug-in module can source or sink up to 23mA. The output signal is fully scalable, and can be used as a signal isolator or signal level converter on the , or as a temperature transducer on the T. Connection is via a 5-way removable tension clamp plug. Please note that the series will only support one 262-ALG option module. 262-MOD Modbus Communication Module This plug-in module enables connection to a RS85 network, which is ideal for use with PLC systems or industrial PC based systems. The displayed measurement is available, and the relay setpoint conditions can be monitored. Additionally, all internal parameters can be read or modified, so that product configuration, scaling and setpoint settings can all be remotely set up or changed. 18 Metering & Protection Panel Mount Indicators OM-LCD-LP digit 2-wire loop powered indicator The second generation OM-LCD-LP microprocessor based panel 2-wire loop powered display has been designed to be accommodated in shallow panel installations. The OM-LCD-LP is a digit indicator with a high contrast LCD display with 12.7mm digits to ensure excellent visibility. All function settings and calibration is achieved by user programmable pushbuttons (pushbutton functions include decimal point, digital filter, resolution, square root extractor etc.). The display is fully scalable to read in engineering units. The OM-LCD-LP is supplied factory calibrated and computer tested. Since the instrument utilises pushbutton setup it can be scaled and configured without test equipment or the need to dismantle to select components. The instrument is powered from the loop and will accept -20mA or 10-50mA current loops (user configurable). Electrical connections are made via plug in terminal blocks. A terminal with no internal connections is provided, as a convenient connector for the loop cable. The programmable digital filter improves stability by smoothing out short term interference. An external input is configurable to perform one of various functions e.g. maximum value, minimum value, peak hold, display hold or tare. M-Bus is a standard widely used for remote reading of various types of consumption meters and sensors. 27 Metering & Protection MID Series MID Series SD card datalogger SD card datalogger Power supply transformer Additional communication modules for energy-meter The SD card module is DIN-rail-mounting (1 DIN module, 17.5mm); it receives data from an MID approved energy meters through the infra-red interface. Its purpose is to store data (a configurable set of data) coming from the MID approved energy meters with Tapko protocol syntax into a removable SD card. The size of the SD card and the interval period between 2 records storage are also configurable. The power supply is provided by means of a IMQ safety approved DIN rail mounted transformer (1 DIN module, 17.5mm, 230V AC /12V AC - VA). In case the whole set of data is stored in each record, it is possible to store approx records per gigabyte. The smaller the number of data per record, the larger the number of records that the module can store inside the SD card. The SD- card can be removed from the module at any time and inserted in a PC with suitable reader to access the saved data. The format is a CSV file. 1 standard module housing (18mm wide), suitable for DIN-rail mounting 35mm. Dimensions The SD card is inserted in factory inside its receptacle on the front side of the SD card module. Crompton Moulded Case Current Transformers Ebony Series Manufactured to meet IEC 600-1:2003 the range benefits include ratio rating from 5/5 to 000/5, accuracy up to class 0.5, integral terminal cover for safety and multiple mounting options. The toroidal core and secondary winding is encapsulated by a self-extinguishing polycarbonate moulded case cover providing excellent mechanical strength and electrical insulation. Crompton Earth Leakage Relays The 373-ELR earth leakage protection relay allows the fault current to be continuously monitored and compared with the user selectable leakage level. Should the leakage exceed this level, the relay will trip to indicate a fault condition. With a very fast response time of under 0ms, the supply can be disconnected before serious damage can occur. The DC milliamp signal produced is therefore directly proportional to the power input. All inputs are isolated by the use of transformers. Universal Transducer The 25-XZZ can be used in single and three-phase balanced or unbalanced three or four-wire electrical systems. The 25-XZZ has an accuracy of CL0.2 and includes RS85 Modbus RTU communications protocol and pulse/alarm output as standard. The 25-XZZ is an accurate device for the conversion of all main electrical parameters into a Voltage or ma output and provides measurement, isolation and conversion of up to four user defined inputs and outputs. The device is supplied programmed to the users requirements but can be easily reprogrammed to suit any application.
