3 1. General Description The purpose of this document is to specify a single phase AC input switching power supply with full range. The product is AC to DC switch mode power supply that provide single output EA1030CU-15V@2.0A max with 30W max DC output with constant voltage source. This Specification defines the input, output, performance characteristics, environment, noise and safety requirement. 2. Input Electrical Specification 2-1. AC Input Voltage Rated Voltage: Vac +/- 10% full range. Normal line input :115Vac/230Vac AC Input Frequency Maximum Frequency: Normal Frequency: Minimum Frequency: 63Hz 50~60Hz 47Hz 2-3. Input Fuse The Line of the AC input shall have a fuse, rated is T2.0A/250V

Inrush Current The adapter cold inrush current should be less than the surge rating of its critical components(include fuse and bulk rectifiers) under all conditions of line voltage and frequency. And we are sure that our adapters isn t damaged with 10,0000 power-on cycles, the cold i 2 t calculation shows the endurance of them. Maximum inrush current, from power-on(with power on an any point on the sinewave ): 30A at 100 Vac 60A at 240 Vac When doing the test, the adapter should be disconnected from power supply long enough until the electrical charge store in all energy storage components(capacitors) has been fully discharged. Ripple Noise The power supply shall not exceed the following limits on the indicated voltage for 60Hz or 50Hz ripple, Switching frequency ripple and noise and dynamic load variations measured with a 20MHz bandwidth and output parallel with a 0.1uF ceramic capacitor and a 47uF electrolytic capacitor to ground. Short circuit protection The output should shut-down when subjected to short circuit. The power supply shall return to normal operating after removing the short situation Open Circuit Protection When primary power is applied with no load on any output level, no damage or hazardous conditions should be occurred Over Current Protection Over Power Protection : 120% ~ 150% of max current When Over-Current occurred the output should be shut down and the over current Situation is removed; the output shall be auto-recover without any harm Over Voltage Protection: 24V max When over-voltage occurred, the output should be shut down and the over voltage Situation is removed; the output shall auto-recover without any harm 3-9. Stability 2% Max. at constant load with constant input (after 30 minutes of operation) Drop-out (Power Line Disturbance) Output voltage shall remain within the specified regulation range, through the absence of a line input during 1/2 cycle, at full load and normal AC line input. 4.Reliability Specification 4-1. MTBF (MIL-STD-781C) The power supply shall be designed and produced to have a mean time between failures (MTBF) of 30,000 operating hours minimum conditions: 80% maximum load at 40 C, nominal input voltage.

Vibration Test The vibration frequencies are set at 20Hz, with total amplitude of 1.5mm Along the 3 directions namely X-Y-Z. The each direction should be vibrated for 60 minutes, after testing no abnormal electrical or mechanical should occur Drop Test (Referencing to CSA C22.2 No.950/UL1950/UL1310/EN60950) Products shall be dropped from a height of 900 mm onto a horizontal surface consists of hardwood at 13mm thick, mounted on two layers of plywood each 19mm to 20mm thick, all supported on a concrete or equivalent non-resilient floor. Upon conclusion of test, the equipment need not be operational.
