4 InnoSuite v1.26 Product InnoSuite is a standalone communication tool enabling Flygt s AquaView Scada 1 system to communicate with different protocols supporting a number of RTUs 2 on the market. It can communicate with different RTUs at the same time over more than one modem. It collects and sends alarms as messages to different pagers. Data is stored in a dbase database. InnoSuite is based on Windows/XP and it is easy to upgrade with an installation setup program. 1 Scada Supervisory control and Data Acquisition 2 RTU Remote terminal unit Denomination InnoSuite v1.xx. Data storage System overview Pentium > 1.4 Ghz. > 256 MB RAM. > 10 GByte free hard disk space. > If AquaView 1.23 then 3 free ports(1 AquaView, 2 InnoSuite). > If AquaView or higher then 1 free port (for PSTN modem/gsm). > Internet Explorer 6 or higher. Windows 2000/XP professional SP2. SVGA 1024 x 768 True colors. One parallel/usb port for the hardware lock. DVD/CD player for installing the InnoSuite program. AquaView v or higher. Data, alarms, events, reports, trends, setpoints and communication logging are stored in a dbase database. InnoSuite uses Codebase for accessing the database. It is accessible by several users at the same time. The database is created automatically after the InnoSuite installation. 7 Communications performance The protocol is an ASCII protocol. Reply messages can be up to 2 k of data in one message. Baudrates up to BAUD recommended. Comments The InnoSuite supports communication to FMC/APP 7XX RTU s as well as communication to AquaView. It is also possible to relay data from supported RTU-brands/procols to AquaView using the AquaCom protocol. To AquaView these RUT s are made transparent to behave as FMC/APP 7XX s. Required vendor software Communications performance To get time stamped events from the PLC, the PLC must be set up to generate time stamped events. The protocol is a serial binary protocol. It can read maximally 32 data words from a data block in one message. InnoSuite v1.26 Technical specification 5

8 The 32 words can be any kind of information. The driver expects all data within one message to be of the same data type. At 9600 baud can 3-4 messages containing 32 words be fetched per serial link. This can be, when getting 3 messages/second, 3 * 32 = 96 analog values or 3 * 32 * 16 = 1536 digital signals. Baudrates up to supported. Comments No support for fetching historical trending and report information from Modbus RTU units. The InnoSuite can however be configured in such a way that it will perform sampling when connected to the unit. These samples can be stored as trends and/or historical report information.
