4 WHY ARE WE HERE TODAY PINKERTON S CASE STUDY ABOUT NORTHBAY FIRES IN 2017 In October and December 2017, California was impacted by two extreme winddriven wildfires. The combined fires resulted in 46 fatalities and thousands of structures lost costing an estimated economic damage of $85 billion*. The North Bay wildfires burned nearly 100,000 hectares with the majority of these devastations occurring within the first 12 hours of ignition. In these types of crisis every second counts. 19 Map Search The menu panel on the left side of the map contains additional options such as a search feature that allows you to search for points of interests on the map, street addresses, or latitude/longitude coordinates.

20 Location Assets + Resources In addition to client assets, common locations and resources can include local first responder locations (police, hospitals, fire), embassies, event venues, cameras, etc. Points of Interest (PoI) can be any fixed location on a map and can be associated with custom iconography that represents its purpose.

21 Areas + Points of Interest Also accessible from the main map view is a list of all available areas of interest (AoI) and points of interest (PoI) for your organization. These can include any types of locations, GPS boundaries, tracking routes, etc.

22 Live Video Streams The live video streams react to motion detection, can highlight motion, allow you to manage video settings, and capture snapshot s of the videos.

23 GPS Solutions When included, you can view your GPS assets on the map in proximity to the intelligence alerts and critical locations for your organization for enhanced situational awareness.

24 2017 Hurricane Season Stats hurricane days occurred in 2017 the most since major hurricanes formed in 2017 the most since First time 2 Atlantic Category 4 Hurricanes made landfall in continental U.S. in the same year. (FEMA) Hurricane Irma became the strongest Atlantic Ocean hurricane on record with winds peaking over 185 mph and remained a hurricane for 11 days. Hurricane Irma was 500 miles wide more than 130 miles wider than the entire state of Florida.

25 2017 Hurricane Response Hurricane Harvey (August February) Provided asset protection for over 30 clients across over 200 locations. Deployed 300 agents across the state. Provided over 50,000 hours of asset protection. Hurricane Irma (August December) Provided asset protection for 25 clients across 96 locations. Deployed 250 agents across the state. Provided 43,000 hours of asset protection. Hurricane Maria (September March) Chartered multiple flights to deploy armed protective agents from Florida to Puerto Rico. Organized and delivered charter flights carrying supplies to Puerto Rico. Ran search and rescue mission for 850 individuals. Provided asset protection for 24 clients across 50 locations. 26 Pinkerton s Hurricane Response Services Pinkerton ran real-time research and analytics and built open-source and custom threat monitoring dashboards to alert clients throughout the hurricanes. Pinkerton agents were able to collect real-time onsite data and deliver it through the treat monitoring dashboards.

27 Prevention Outweighs Reaction According to the Director of the National Hurricane Center, the worst thing that people who live along coastlines can do is not to prepare for tropical storms and hurricanes. The two key factors contributing to weather safety during hurricanes are preparing in advance for the risks and acting on those preparations when alerted by emergency officials, National Hurricane Center. According to FEMA data, nearly 4 out of 10 local organizations are forced to permanently close in the wake of a natural disaster.
