2 Micro Unit Hardware Introducing the 2U Twin2 system architecture Partnered with Boston Limited, Supermicro s leading OEM Server Integrator, we have codesigned a startandscale hardware model (the 2U Twin2 ) which is easily deployed into clientside datacenters or delivered as a DNS Europehosted service. The AppLogic Micro Unit hardware is based on Boston's innovative 2U Twin2 system architecture which achieves breakthrough x86 server performanceperwatt (375 GFLOPS/kW, up to 25% net gain over other top tiers' 1U servers) to further satisfy the everincreasing efficiency, density and lowtco demands of today's high performance computing (HPC) clusters and data centers. 2U Twin2 servers are compatible with existing and upcoming Supermicro twin boards, and they feature not only hotswappable hard drives and power supplies, but also the computing nodes facilitate easy installation and maintenance. For high availability, the 2U Twin2 servers also provide redundant power and three 3.5" hard drives per node. 4 Cloud Control Panel (CCP) The leading services automation tool for AppLogic The CCP is an AppLogicresident application developed by DNS Europe. It bridges the service design gap between infrastructure templates and the enduser experience, and is the leading control panel application for AppLogic. The CCP provides the ability to completely control and customise the enduser s experience of consuming your software as a cloud service. The CCP is included with the AppLogic Mμ service along with some sample templates to get you started. AppLogic Architect Designs AppLogic templates, imports them into the CCP and configures which components, properties, resources can be seen and/or edited by Support or End Users. The Architect manages provisioning behaviour and customer experience through highlyconfigurable Properties, Metadata and Parameter controls. The Architect is then able to pass on much of the ongoing operational workload to Support Agents using the CCP. Support Agent Through the CCP, Support Agents can be given secure, rolesbased access to AppLogic information and controls, without the training requirements to become an AppLogic Senior Operator. The CCP provides the Support Agent with access to all of the EndUser control capabilities but also to information that will allow them to troubleshoot customer issues allowing new Agents to rapidly become productive team members. Your Customer, the EndUser Through the CCP, your customers can order new services through a easytouse webinterface and have those deployed automatically with the right configuration and with no intervention from your Architects & Support Agents. Customers can then control the resource assignments and scaling of the parameters that you want them to be able to control. The CCP s interface is fully customisable and supports multiple languages. External System Integration The CCP includes a comprehensive API for integrating the CCP (and by extension AppLogic ) with external Ordering, CRM & Billing systems.
