3 PowerTag - Smallest Wireless Energy Sensor Introduction PowerTag is the smallest wireless energy and power sensor on the market that accurately monitors energy consumption in real time (class 1), to ensure that buildings consume energy more efficiently and economically. PowerTag is installed upstream or downstream of a miniature circuit breaker. It transmits deep, accurate data on all electrical loads, from IT and HVAC, to machines, pumps, or critical loads in a building. Why are we focusing on this? How many PowerTags can I install with one gateway? You can pair up to 20 PowerTag sensors per Smartlink gateway. 2. Can PowerTag be mounted on any circuit breaker? PowerTag is compatible with Schneider Electric Acti9 or Multi9 Miniature Circuit Breaker range at intervals of 18mm up to 6A. It can be mounted upstream or downstream of the circuit breaker. However, it cannot be mounted downstream of Schneider Electric Acti9 ic60 RCBOs. This is currently under product development for launch in Q There may be other breakers in the market with standard 18mm interval compatible with PowerTag, but we should always push to use Schneider Electric breakers.. What does PowerTag measure? Total and partial energy (kwh), power (kw), load-balancing by phase, current by phase (A), voltage by phase (V), power by phase (kw). 4. What are the other features of PowerTag? PowerTag allows you to set 25 different alarms on various load levels and other parameters. It can alert the facility manager or contractor before the load may trip (pre-alarm). Default alarms are set at 50% and 80% load level, which can be customised in the Smartlink web pages. It can also alert on loss of Power supply or Voltage loss or in case of an overload trip. 5. How are the alarms sent? Alarms can be configured to be sent via to up to 10 users via an SMTP server. The alarms can also be viewed in EMS or BMS systems like Power Monitoring Expert or Struxureware Building Operations. 6. Do I need a software to configure PowerTag? PowerTag can be configured directly from the Smartlink webpages. When configured using the Acti 9 Smart Test software (download is free

6 from Schneider website), you can extract Modbus addresses and a commissioning report for easy rd party integration. 7. Can you use another Zigbee gateway than Smartlink to communicate with PowerTag? No, in order to retrieve the data and information collected by PowerTag you must use the Schneider Electric Smartlink SI-D or SI-B gateways which log the data of the different PowerTags via an encrypted protocol. The Smartlink gateway has an embedded web server to display real time data and alarms. It does not store the data. To display historical simple energy dashboards from your PowerTag you can connect the Smartlink gateway to the Com'X 210/510 via ethernet (Modbus TCP/IP) using the PowerTag custom drivers available on Box 8. How many PowerTag can I have per distribution board? You can have up to 240 PowerTag in one same switchboard. 9. What is the distance limit for the PowerTag to communicate to the Smartlink gateway? We recommend installing the PowerTag and Smartlink gateway in the same enclosure to avoid any loss of signal, especially with metallic enclosures.
