Eliminate Former U-Series Pedestals from OEI Product Offering (FAMILIES: USPD, PUSP Except Double Pedestal) 2. Specify New Vini Pedestals as Low-Cost/Value Pedestal in OEI Product Offering Reason for Change: Vini offers a similar aesthetic as the former U-Series pedestals, at a lower pricepoint and with a much wider range of options. Most customers will not notice the change as they are primiarly internal and related to automated manufacturing and common components. Action Required: Encompass CAD has been updated to add a Vini pedestal option in each product menu. Old U-Series pedestals will be available until 7/15/2015 to fulfill open orders or to match existing product. Contracts will be updated as necessary. Vini KD Availability: Vini is currently only available as KD0 (Finished Goods), but OEI continues to work on release of KD1 and KD10 options. Models and pricing will be available in 3Q 2015 with orders being accepted in 4Q Series XXI Pedestals: This change has no effect on the current Series XXI pedestal product offering. Series XXI continues to be OEI s flagship pedestal line and is available in KD0, KD1 and KD10 format. 2 Vini Pedestal Launch Enhancement Summary Effective immediately, OEI s U-Series pedestals are replaced with the new Vini Low-Cost Pedestal family that will be manufactured on a new automated line at our Pembroke facility. This production change will support many positive changes for the new Vini pedestal offering, including: Reduced pricing (see your Account Manager for new Vini pricing). More consistent quality. Addition of mobile box/file models in 20 and 24 depths. Addition of 20 and 24 worksurface-supporting pedestal. Consistent finished heights of mobile and freestanding units, and interchangeable casters and glides. The elimination of counterbalance weight and cost in some models, and the inclusion of the required counterbalance weight in the bills of material for other models. Addition of Connection Zone pull for Vini pedestals, as well as U-Series laterals, towers, credenzas and double pedestals (overhead and underhead addition will occur late 2015). Additionally, please note the following changes: New model numbers have been assigned for all Vini pedestals. Old U-Series models are immediately discontinued, but will be available for specification and order entry through July 15, 2015 to match existing product. 22 and 30 deep pedestal models have been discontinued from U-Series (consider Series XXI pedestals if 30 deep pedestals are required). New Vini panel-tie brackets for use in Systems Furniture planning. Glides on freestanding models are not adjustable and feature a unique aesthetic. Mobile models no longer have brakes on casters. There are no changes to any other elements within the U-Series offering, and automated production will not affect the overall aesthetic of the line. Please see the new Vini Pedestal Sell Sheet for visual representation of the new product and enhancements. Any open projects that are specified with current models will have until July 15, 2015 to enter orders with the obsolete models. Alternately, projects may be requoted with new models. Any in-house orders will not be affected, and no product changes will be made. Customers will receive specified product at previously quoted pricing. Vini is currently only available in KD0 (Finished Goods), however OEI continues to work on a complete KD1 (Unassembled) and KD10 (Unpainted/Unassembled) product offering. Model # s and pricing for KD1/KD10 will be available 3Q 2015 and orders will be accepted 4Q 2015.
