End to End open DW Solution all in one package comprising data extractors, administrator workbench, OLAP engine and a graphical user interface. 15 Business Explorer (BEx) Business Explorer (BEx) This is the reporting tool of the BW. The Business Explorer consists of the Business Explorer Analyzer and the Business Explorer Browser. Business Explorer Browser (BEx Browser) stores workbooks, links and documents; locates queries,preview s and executes workbooks ; selects the documents assigned to you, opens and organizes the documents Business Explorer Analyzer (BEx Analyzer) defines queries; creates different views in the queries; analyzes and presents InfoCube data; saves the queries in workbooks; 6/19/

18 BEx Analyzer Functionality Report to Report Interface - Allows the user to jump from report to report or jump through to R/3 from BW. Geographical Information System (GIS) - Allows the user to integrate a Map, which shows the keyfigures of the corresponding Query of the BEx-Analyzer as colored / shaded Areas. 19 Data Targets in BW Basic Infocube -- Stores multidimensional aggregated data Multi-Cube Combines several traditional cubes Remote Cube Is an infocube, which the transactional data is not stored in BW, but external data areas Only the structure is stored in BW Data is read via BAPI s from external system This is helpful in provide real-time data to users ODS Can be drilled down to from the Infocube Directly reported against using BEx Analyzer 6/19/
