16 Oracle ACFS Snapshot Enhancements Enterprise Snapshot EdiQon Quotas (EE) Provides a quota on space usage per snapshot. Specified quota establishes an upper limit on the storage that can be added to the snapshot. Snapshot Remaster Remasters an Oracle ACFS file system with a snapshot Specified snapshot is used for the base of the file system. Rename, Delete, Duplicate Snapshot Rename renames an exisqng ACFS snapshot. Delete, enables snapshots with open files references to be removed from an ACFS file system. There is a grace period and warnings for quota usage. Previous ACFS primary file system and all previous snapshots are deleted. Snapshot Duplicate create and apply. 16

21 Oracle ACFS Compression and Defragging Enterprise ACFS Compression EdiQon (EE) Derived from Oracles Database Advanced Compression soluqon. Enterprise ACFS Defragging EdiQon (EE) ACFS provides for automa3c file defragging in Compression for DB data files, RMAN files, archive logs, data pump files, general purpose files. For DB data files, the Oracle Database must be or greater. Useful for DBs that share storage with snapshots and/or when compression is enabled. ACFS carefully allocates and coalesces free space, automaqc defragging helps further. 21

27 ACFS Metadata AcceleraQon Enterprise EdiQon (EE) ACFS Metadata Accelera3on Enables criqcal Oracle ACFS metadata structures to be placed on accelerator storage. Significantly improves file access performance for ACFS files stored on the ACFS primary file system or an ACFS snapshot. Use of an accelerator volume is recommended for files with many extents. This applies for instance when there are Oracle ACFS Snapshots in use or for compressed ACFS file systems. 27
