2 Ingest, Catalog and Storing Media One-click access to media from a standard web browser From the desktop, authorized users can ingest media with one click graphics, text, audio and video. Media attributes and properties are indexed individually or through a batch import function. Customizable DaletPlus Forms allow users to catalog details such as name, air date, shot sheets, and licensing information. Ingested media automatically migrate to a near-online storage library for archiving. The media's metadata remain online and searchable at all times. DaletPlus Forms can also associate various media materials into a single asset: the video clip in high resolution format, a low resolution copy for browsing, the keyframe storyboard, production notes, audio tracks in different languages, digital rights or licensing information, promotional elements such as video extracts, graphics, etc. Search and Preview Media the Way You Want The search and retrieval of media that took hours in the past is now accomplished in minutes. Users simply type the desired search phrase. Video titles appear in the DaletPlus Media Library work area. With a click of the mouse, users can quickly scan the the storyboard images, preview the media asset in low resolution, download the high resolution version if authorized. DaletPlus Media Library also offers personalized views to partition information so specific groups view media and associated information that is pertinent to their role. Production staff, online department, archivists, marketing and management can create personalized views according to their function or need. Advanced Search Capabilities Add-on options greatly extend the search functionality. The Speech-to-Text option automatically transcribes and catalogs all audio recordings including multi-speaker and multi-language environments. Transcripts constitute ideal metadata. Once generated, they are automatically linked to corresponding media files. Transcriptions can be viewed in a Karaoke style. Scripts are synchronized with the original media file. Users can search for a specific keyword and instantaneously obtain the list of all associated media files. By clicking on a clip, users can directly access the source material and view keyword occurrences on the timeline. In addition, a Phonetic Index option allows the users to perform searches without knowing the exact spelling of a word. The Scene Detection option analyzes the video and marks scene changes with a keyframe, providing users with a storyboard view of the recording.

It also manages robotic tape libraries or DVD jukeboxes integrated with Hierarchical Storage Management (HSM) systems. Transition of video files to and from the archives is performed transparently. An icon informs the user if an asset is online, near-line or offline. Retrieval of online or near online materials is done through the click of a mouse. If a requested title is near-online, DaletPlus will handle the file retrieval from the archival management system.
