2 Viz Viz Ardome Companion Products IT based Media Asset Management from A to Z Viz Ardome is a central product in the Vizrt s Media Asset Management (MAM) solution. It is based on proven Ardendo technology and becomes even more versatile when combined with any number of its Companion Products that enable highly optimized workflows. Both production and organizational processes are further enhanced by the addition of products covering areas such as ingest, transcode, media management, browse, editing, annotation, and more. The addition of these products maximizes the full potential of Viz Ardome in ensuring the effective and efficient workflows of any modern media organization.

3 Viz Dart The Digital Automated Recording Tool (DART) is an intuitive web based Graphical User Interface that provides easy drag-and-drop style graphical editing of scheduled recordings to streamline the handling of acquired programs. From an impressive array of supported media, Viz Dart is capable of automatically ingesting from any number of video servers and media channels into a multi server environment; for replay and editing on demand. Viz Capture Viz Capture enable s both the ingest and outgest of a wide range of, amongst other things, tape machine generated content through existing client hardware into the MAM system and vice versa. Its custom built software and Graphical User Interface allows remote ingest via FTP. It produces impressive frame accurate recordings that can be fetched whilst data is still being recorded and simultaneously allows the editing of such data during ingest. Viz Upload In environments that require high-speed workflows such as news production, a wide range of user groups demand the ability to ingest material direct from their desktops. Viz Upload was created to facilitate this requirement and allows ingest of desktop based files including P2 and HD into Viz Ardome. Viz Media Processor Viz Media Processor is a software-based transcoding solution for video transcoding and advanced keyframe extraction. It runs on standard PC servers and is designed to provide faster than real-time transcoding from high-res to low-res whilst enabling automatic technical compliance such as black frame and noise detection. Transcoding can start immediately when the first frames of highresolution content becomes available and runs in parallel with the ingest process. This software solution represents radical simplifications and cost savings compared to traditional videobased transcoding and keyframe extraction solutions.

4 Viz PreCut Viz PreCut is a quick cut editing tool originally designed for newsroom media management operations where there is no need for professional non linear editor (NLE) systems for composing and creating new material. It is a low-resolution and basic video editing tool that is simple, reliable, effective and fast. Viz EasyCut Viz EasyCut is a journalist timeline editing tool that enables more detailed and intensive editing of video on standard desktop PCs. It fills the gap between Viz Precut and more advanced editing in fully featured NLE systems. Viz EasyCut provides NLE functions such as rubber band and track level audio adjustments, back to back audio crossfades, video dissolves, timeline transfers, voice over and aspect ratio conversions. Viz Video Engine Viz Video Engine is a small yet powerful and flexible video server capable of dual channel ingest and playout. This component allows the implementation server-based operations for a broad range of video formats. Viz Media Logger A key issue in any MAM environment is keeping track of actual media. Viz Media Logger allows the input of descriptive information for reuse, search and auditing capabilities. Cataloguers, archivists and journalists are able to add, edit and delete descriptive information about media files and/or parts of them, right down to a single frame, through an extensive set of metadata fields, individually tailored to client specifications. The possibilities for this metadata collection are endless, with forward looking clients using the facility to record individual aspects of ingesting news and sports events to enable instant recalls on demand. Viz Quat Viz Quat ties together high quality graphics production tools with media asset management systems. Viz Quat allows Viz Content Pilot and Viz Trio users to search for videos in the MAM system and then add these videos to graphic templates. The finished templates can then easily be added to a playlist.
