ISA, the Interoperability Solutions for European Public Administrations programme, addresses this need by facilitating efficient and effective cross-border electronic collaboration between European public administrations. 13 Scope of Work Item 1 Conceptual Model This International Standard defines a conceptual model for address information with terms and definitions ( ) Life cycle, metadata and address aliases are included in the model. The model provides a common representation of address information independent of the actual addressing implementations. It is not intended to replace conceptual models proposed in other specifications, but provides a mean to cross-map between different models ( ) The model provides a basis for developing address specifications by individual countries or communities. Imagine a future where one enters the delivery address according to the specifications of the local address system and before proceeding to checkout, the address content is verified in real-time to exist.
