1 August Software Release Notes Claim Loading Improved logic for AutoAdd Provider to match on the NPI. Vendor Utilities Utility has been added that will allow vendors to Populate the last 30 days of ERA files in ERA Manager. This data can then be used for demoing and training a new customer on ERA Manager. In order to run the utility please do the following steps: 1. Go to Search Tools and select Report Manager 2. Select the Populate ERA Data utility 3. Enter the customer into the Customer Prompt field 1
2 4. The Populate ERA Data Utility will then run and populate data in the ERA Manager. ERA Manager Patient Name Search has been modified to function the same as Patient Name search in Claim Manager. Sorting for date issued has been added to ERA Manager. ERA Manager will now save the last selection. This selection will be available the next time you log into the application. ERA Data Miner Report has been enhanced to include the blades; Provider, Patient, Account #, and Facility. ERA Download button has been moved to the top of the screen EDIT Button renamed to UPDATE Transaction Added EDIT claim button Added sort able Assigned Staff column If you click UPDATE Transaction you must enter an action message in order to save the update. This message will displayed in the status memo that is created. 2
3 Modified Staff Prompt on Update Transaction to a drop-down selection. If you update the Follow-up status of a transaction you will now be prompted to update the follow-up status for all ERA transactions on that claim. When you update or add an Assigned Staff to an ERA transaction you will now be prompted to add the Assigned Staff to all transactions on that claim. F11 Update Claim Status has been updated to show Claim Status options. Previous status update options were batch status. Task Manager When a vendor first logs into Task Manager all customers task will no longer display. Only task assigned to the vendor staff will displayed. In order to view all customers task Vendors can now click on Filter Task and leave all prompts blank. Refresh button has been added to Select Items ERA Task Minimum and Maximum Amount filter have been fixed Denial Status and Follow-up status filter have been fixed Added Assigned to filter Include/ Exclude filter options have been added to; Payor List, Reason Code List, Remark Code List Eligibility Task Include/ Exclude filter added to the Payor List and Provider List Provider column has been added to the selected items screen 3
4 Claim Task Added Include/ Exclude option to Payer List Added Include/ Exclude Option to Rendering Provider List Issue Task Added the Assigned to filter Eligibility Manager Added a sortable Provider column to the selected Eligibility Request List. Responses Responses: The change log report has been enhanced for fields that are stored as the entire segment in the log. Paperwork and Responsible Party are examples. Previously they were being sent as the ANSI segment with the * separators as the change log. The segment separators for these type of fields have been changed to ^ in the change log to enable parsing and allow for integrated customers to program these changes easier. 4
5 Responses: The MREP EOB View has been enhanced to show the Providers NPI instead of tax id in the top right section for customers who receive ERA s in NSF format. Transfer Files The F11 Change Claim Status option on the Transfer Files screen will now allow the user to change the Claim Status for all Selected Claims. Option to Delete All Selected claims has been added to the Claims for File section of Transfer Files Added Column for Pay-to Provider Increased the length of the Message column so that more data is displayed. Claim Manager The decimal we were displaying in the principal procedure code for institutional claims has been removed from the viewer. Option has been added to Status Message section to Edit Claim by pressing c on your keyboard Claims can now be sorted by the TOB/POS (Type of Bill/ Place of Service) column. Patient Account number, Responsible Party (Primary/ Secondary), Claim Status has been added to the title bar in the Claim Edit View 5
6 Memo stored in the Status Message for Selected Claim (Claim Manager/ ERA Manager/ Task Manager) can now be viewed by double-clicking the message. If the user did not create the message it will be shown in View Only mode. Print All Selected CMS forms has been added to Claim Manager. This option is available by pressing l key on keyboard or by right-clicking and selecting option from list. This option has been added to the following applications: o o o o Support Claim Manager (vendor Claim Manager) Claim Manager (customer) Transfer Files Task Manager 6
7 Generate Secondary Claims Option has been added to create secondary claims from primary claims in Claim Manager. We will have a separate webinar the week of August 17 th to review the new Generate Secondary Claims feature in depth. 1. Find the claim that you would like to auto-generate a secondary claim 2. Go the Status Message for selected claim 3. Select the ERA file to use as primary payment information for the secondary claim. If you don t have an ERA file a secondary claim can still be generated however it will require additional manual updates. 4. Click on Create Secondary Claim (beta) Attachments (aka PWK Segments) We are ramping up to start testing electronic attachments (ANSI 275) with payers. In order to accomplish this we had to modify the way we were handling PWK Segments. The PWK button in the claim record has been modified to display a list of PWK segments. The Attach Electronic is for Practice Insight testing purposes only and will not be available to customers until a future release. Add current PWK Segments will be converted to the attachment table as part of the release. 7
8 Report Manager Claim Rejection Analysis report has been modified to include Error Level blade. Admin Tools User Permissions New Permissions have been added for Electronic attachments and create secondary claims. By default the Electronic Attachment will be set to NO for both Vendors and customers until Practice Insight releases this feature. The Create Secondary Claims will be set to NO for customers and DELETE for vendors so that this can be assigned to customers. o Create Secondary Claims: Add- Allow user to create secondary claim from Primary Claim 8
9 o Electronic Attachments: View- View Electronic attachments Edit- Edit Electronic attachments Add- Add New Electronic Attachments Delete- Delete Electronic attachments 9
10 Master User List Current Version of ThinWin is now being displayed in the Admin Tools Master User List Customer Staff Record Added a prompt to the Customer Record so that a Vendor support staff can be assigned customers. If using Support Manager Application this Support Staff in the customer records will be the default assigned to for all new support issues created for the customer. 10
11 Support Manager CBO Users can now view Support Manager Issues for all customers w/out having to select a customer. Sub CBO can also view issues for all of their customers. HOT Issues will now be highlighted in Red (similar function to New Issues). Added a field to Customer record to assign Vendor staff to a customer. 11
