So I spoke to Rick Larson here at Sony Safety and have copied him on this . He suggests and would like to know What the vetting process will be for picking the dog. We need to be sure that we get a dog that has had all it's current shots and will need proof of that. We also want to definitely stay away from aggressive breeds. Also, we want to be sure that we get a dog that will not be startled easily or startled by the large number of audience people. Jeff or Maria, do you have any idea of the dog you guys want to use yet? Any info you have on that end will be helpful. Please let me know as soon as you can. 2

PREMISE Three owners on one side, one dog on the other after a few questions, Latifah has to guess which is the real owner, then we let the dog go off the chain to run to its owner. MELISSA we will need three people; one needs to bring their actual DOG. GREG/GAIL/GINA we are planning on having a REAL DOG and its owner, booked by Melissa. We are planning on having two other potential 'owners' booked by Melissa. QL asks a few questions of them, guesses the owner then we let the dog off the chain it runs to its owner and we see if QL has guessed the right one! PLZ ADVISE RE: LEGAL ISSUES. We are fine with having the dog stay on a carpet on stage with a dog handler if needed. MICHAEL/MARCO either home base or performance area the three potential 'owners' on one side, the dog on the other. ALL With luck, the dog will run to its owner. BUT Comedically we are fine w/a little chaos once the dog is released. Wrong owner, head off stage, etc. We will rehearse the bit Monday w/no QL to give her a DVD of it. IF BIT PROCEEDS QL rehearsal TBD either Tues post tape or Wed 10am. Thx JC 4
