1 Lippert Quoting Application Help Document Introduction The purpose of the quoting application is to enable a user to generate specifications about a new configuration and submit the specifications so that the configuration can be quoted. Technical Requirements Supported web browsers: Internet Explorer 9.0, Safari Browser settings: Display intranet sites in Compatibility View and Use Microsoft compatibility lists should be unchecked. 3 Account Registration and Log On A user account is required to use the site. If you don t already have an account, please request one by clicking on account. By clicking on this link, you will be taken to the Request Account screen. After you fill out all the necessary fields, click on Send. You will then receive acknowledgement of your request. Once your request has been completed you ll receive notification by . Lippert Quoting Application 3

4 Once you have an account, simply enter your user name and password and then click on Log On. If you ve forgotten your password, click on password. This will create a new message (using your default mail application) which you you ll need to send. Once your password has been reset you ll receive an letting you know that you are able to log in. If you would like to change your password, click on here. This will take you to a new screen where you can enter your current password, set a new password, and then confirm your new password. When finished click on Change Password. The password has to meet certain complexity requirements. It has to be 8 characters long. It has to meet three of the following conditions: contain a lowercase letter, contain an uppercase letter, contain a number, or contain a symbol. Also, your password can only be changed once a day, this includes the day that the account was setup. Lippert Quoting Application 4

5 If you d like to view any of your account information, click on Manage Account. This will take you to a new screen where you can view your account info. When finished, click on Quote. Lippert Quoting Application 5

6 Configuration Setup If you have an existing variant (ex. V ) that you liked to base your configuration on, select Yes. By selecting Yes all of the option selections for the existing configuration will be pulled in to the configuration session for you to review and change. If you d like to create a brand new configuration, select No. If you select Yes, then you can enter the Variant Information. You can type all or part of the variant into the Search field. If you then click on the Variant drop down, all of the results that contain the specified search criteria are displayed. You can then select the appropriate variant from the list. If you d like to specify the part number that you d like to use to represent this configuration, enter it in the Customer Part Number field. If you d like to specify an existing purchase order that has this configuration on it, then you can put it in the Customer PO field. Then click on Configure. Lippert Quoting Application 6

7 If you select No in answer to the Do you want to start from Variant? question, then you can enter the Configuration Information. Select the Product Type from the drop down list. Then select the Part Number from the drop down list. If you d like to specify the part number that you d like to use to represent this configuration, enter it in the Customer Part Number field. 8 Option Selections The configuration screen presents questions to answer regarding the options that are available for a particular product. The screen is split in half with the left hand side being the options and the right hand side being a summary of what has been selected. If you chose to not start from an existing variant, then you ll have to answer all the required questions to create the specification. Lippert Quoting Application 8

9 If you chose to start from an existing variant, then the options are already filled out. All you need to do is make the appropriate changes. If the option name is followed by a red star, then it is mandatory. If the option box is followed by up and down arrows, then the option has a numeric range. Lippert Quoting Application 9

10 If the option box is followed by a magnifying glass icon, then it can be clicked on to view the range or to view images tied to the option. If the option name is in blue text, then if you hover over the option name a text box will pop up with additional information about the option. When the Finish link appears in the upper or lower left hand side of the configuration screen, then all of the mandatory options have been selected. If the Continue link is showing in the upper or lower left, then click on Continue so that more questions will be presented. Once you have completed all of the option selections, review the summary on the right hand side of the screen. Lippert Quoting Application 10

11 If you need to change a particular option, click on that option on the right side of the screen and it will take you right to that option on the left hand side of the screen. Once you have successfully configured your product click on Finish. Lippert Quoting Application 11

12 Specification Output Once the configuration has successfully completed, you ll be taken to another screen where you have the ability to View Pdf which will pull up another window with the specification summary. Or you can select the Send Spec which will the specification summary pdf. If you are a customer, the will be sent to you and to those at LCI that will be responsible for quoting your new configuration. If you are a salesperson, the will be sent to you. If you started your configuration from an existing variant, then any differences between the original variant and the resulting configuration will be in blue text in the specification document.
