Hey Guys, Here are some tips on tweaking the admin area so that you can give it a more custom feel: First go to Extensions>Template Manager>Administrator, select the Khepri template, and then click 'Edit'. Select the option 'Show Site Name: No' and click 'Save'. To tweak how the word 'Administration' is displayed go to administrator/khepri/css/general.css and find: #border-top.title { font-size: 22px; font-weight: bold; color: #fff; line-height: 44px; padding-left: 180px; } You can then change the padding to your liking etc. To stop the word 'Administration' from showing or change what it says: In administrator/templates/khepri/index.php search for 'Administration' and delete this (so you dont have 'Administration' at the top of your administration area). In administrator/templates/khepri/login.php search for 'Administration' and 'Joomla! Administration login' and you can tweak these words to your liking. In administrator/templates/khepri/cpanel.php search for 'Administration' and you can delete this (so you don't have 'Administration' at the top of you Control Panel page). Replacing images: You can customise the top bar of your admin area by replacing the following

2 Page 2 of 6 images with your own: templates/khepri/images/h_green/j_header_left.png templates/khepri/images/h_green/j_header_middle.png templates/khepri/images/h_green/j_header_right.png Add a custom note to your client in their administration Control Panel: You can add a little custom note to your clients in their administration area by going to Extensions>Module Manager>Administrator>Welcome module and editing the text in this module to your liking. I'm wondering if you or anyone else has had issues with the administrative cpanel modules...? I edited the "welcome to Joomla" mod_custom and it rendered the section inoperable... it reveals the last module in the cpanel, but no other modules will open. If I disenable the welcome to joomla module, then the other modules work fine again. This is a strange bug, do you or anyone else know of any workarounds? Sure appreciate it! 3 Page 3 of 6 this happened to me once, it seems it is just sensitive to the code that is in the editor region - what i did was copy the html from one of my other site's and pasted it back in the editor and then it worked again. my code is something like: <div style="padding: 5px"><p><strong>How To Update Your Pages... </strong></p><p>to update the content of any page or 'Article' on your website, simply click on the 'Article Manager' icon to your left, then select an Article by clicking on its title, edit it and click 'Save' - an icon located in the top right hand corner.</p></div> hope this helps. all the best, Author: tvigar [ Mon Jul 28, :38 pm ] Hey, thanks for the quick response... 5 Page 5 of 6 In administrator/templates/khepri/login.php search for: <p><?php echo JText::_('DESCUSEVALIDLOGIN')?></p> And replace the text between the commas to whatever you would like eg: <p><?php echo JText::_('Have a happy day')?></p> There is a string somewhere where you could change DESCUSEVALIDLOGIN but i havent found it yet. Administration Login' is displayed on the administrator login page, go to administrator/khepri/css/general.css and find: h1 { margin: 0; padding-bottom: 8px; color: #0B55C4; font-size: 20px; font-weight: bold; } And tweak to your liking.
