1 Privacy Policy for the Lipotype Platform Lipotype GmbH, Tatzberg 47, Dresden, Germany (hereinafter "Lipotype") provides an online platform (hereinafter "Platform") for lipid analysis services (hereinafter Lipotype Services ) as described on the Platform. The following provisions set out how Lipotype shall handle the Platform users personal data. 1 Data controller The data controller within the meaning of the data protection laws is: Lipotype GmbH Tatzberg Dresden privacy@lipotype.com 2 Automated data collection 2.1 Lipotype points out that transmitting data over the Internet can present security vulnerabilities. It is impossible to completely protect data against third-party access. 2.2 When the Platform is used, your browser will, for technical reasons, automatically transmit the following data on the access: IP address, date and time, quantity of data transmitted, terminal device, operating system, a notification of whether access was successful. 2 2.3 The data as set out in 2.2 shall be used to technically enable you to use the Platform. Additionally, the data may be used for statistical purposes and to improve the service offered, and shall subsequently be deleted. 3 Data entered by the User 3.1 The Platform offers users the possibility to order Lipotype Services against payment via the Platform. 3 Sample description* Comments These data will only be used for the purposes of processing your order. 3.2 If you order Lipotype Services via the Platform, Lipotype will obtain certain payment data required for the payment transaction, such as - depending on the payment method - credit card numbers. These data will only be used for processing the payment transaction. 3.3 If you decide to pay by credit card, credit card numbers will be obtained by third party payment providers for processing the payment. Lipotype does not have access to credit card numbers. 3.4 If you decide to pay via PayPal, the payment transaction will be processed via PayPal Inc. Lipotype does not have access to bank account details stored by PayPal Inc. Please see the privacy policy of PayPal for further information. 3.5 Lipotype uses services of the payment processing provider Paymill GmbH in order to enable the processing of payments as described in Registering on the Platform You may have the option to register for the use of the Platform. To do so, you shall need to enter the data as set out in 3.1 and, in addition, user name in the form of a valid address and a password. 5 Passing on personal data Generally, your personal data shall be passed on without your express prior consent only in the cases specified below: 5.1 Personal data shall, if this serves to clear up any unlawful usage of the Platform or is necessary for prosecution purposes, be passed on to the criminal prosecution authorities and, if need be, to third parties who have suffered injury, loss or damage. However, this shall occur only if concrete indications of any unlawful or improper conduct exist. To the extent legally permitted, personal data may also be passed on, if this serves to enforce terms and conditions of use or other agreements. Additionally, Lipotype may be legally obliged to provide information at the request of certain public bodies. These public bodies comprise criminal prosecution authorities, authorities that pursue regulatory offences subject to a fine, as well as the tax authorities. Page 3 of 6

4 5.2 From time to time, Lipotype shall be dependent upon contractually tied external companies and service providers for the provision of the services. In such cases, data shall be passed on to these companies or individuals in order to enable further processing by these. These external service providers shall be diligently selected and regularly reviewed by Lipotype in order to ensure that your private sphere remains protected. The service providers may use the data only for the purposes prespecified by Lipotype. Moreover, Lipotype shall place these service providers under a contractual obligation to handle your data exclusively in accordance with applicable data protection laws. 5.3 In the course of the further development of Lipotype's business, Lipotype's structure may change as a result of a change in its legal form, or as a result of the formation, purchase or sale of subsidiaries, business units or parts of its business. In the event of such transactions, the customer information shall be passed on together with the part of the company that is to be transferred. Every time personal data are passed on to third parties to the extent described above, Lipotype shall ensure that this occurs in conformity with this data protection statement and the applicable data protection laws. 6 Web analytics 6.1 Piwik The Platform uses Piwik, a web analytics open-source software. Piwik uses cookies, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the Platform analyze how users use it. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the Platform (including your IP address anonymized prior to its storage) will be stored on the server of the service provider in Germany. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this Platform. You may choose not to have a unique web analytics cookie identification number assigned to your computer to avoid the aggregation and analysis of data collected on this website. Google Analytics uses "cookies". The information generated by the cookie regarding your use of the Platform is normally transferred to a Google server in the USA, and is stored there. 5 States of the European Union or other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area, first be shortened by Google. Only in exceptional cases will Google transfer the full IP address to a Google server in the USA, and will shorten it there. On behalf of the operator of this Platform, Google will use this information in order to analyse your usage of our Platform, to compile reports on Platform activities, and to provide further services to Lipotype relating to the usage of the Platform and the internet. The IP address transferred by your browser within the framework of Google Analytics will not be combined by Google with other data. In case you prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly, you may possibly not be able to fully use all features on this Platform. An opt-out cookie will be stored on your device, which means that you'll have to click this link again if you delete your cookies. 7 Use of Google AdWords Conversion Tracking The Platform uses Google AdWords. This is an analysis service of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ( Google ). In the context of use, Google Adwords will place a cookie on your computer ( conversion cookie ) once you click on a Google advertisement and thereby access our Platform. These cookies will expire within 30 days. The cookies do not contain personal data and are thus not used for personal identification of the user. If you visit our Platform within this period Google and Lipotype will be informed of the fact that you have seen the advertisement provided by Google. As every AdWords customer is given a different cookie, cookies may not be traced via the websites of AdWords customers. The information gained with the help of the conversion cookie is used to compile conversion statistics for AdWords customers, who have opted-in to conversion tracking. AdWords customers learn how many users have clicked on their advertisement and have been redirected to a website provided with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not obtain any information that could be used to identify any particular user. By sending this newsletter, advertising or link to the White Paper, Lipotype shall inform you about its company, its products and current offers and campaigns, surveys or studies or provide related information. You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, e.g. by clicking the unsubscribe link contained in each newsletter, advertising or including a link to the White Paper. 9 General 9.1 You have the right to request that Lipotype provides you with information on the data stored with regard to your person or your pseudonym. 9.2 You may withdraw any consent you may have given to Lipotype any time with future effect. 9.3 Insofar as you wish for further information or wish to withdraw your consent, Lipotype's support shall be available to you at the address privacy@lipotype.com 9.4 Lipotype shall be entitled to amend or adapt this data protection policy with effect for the future.
