3 QUICKACTIVITY COMMUNICATION OVERVIEW Log in to: MySPC 1. From the top navigation in MySPC click on Personal Information. 2. Work your way through each of the tabs verifying the information and adding additional information where needed. For example, you can add your mobile phone and check the box to indicate the preferred contact number.

8 SUCCESSTIPS CLASS SYLLABUS Know Your Syllabus Each class has a syllabus that outlines all the details about your class including your professor s rules for: Attendance Grades Assignments Testing Let s review a few college-wide policies that you should also know about.

9 SUCCESSTIPS CLASS SYLLABUS Other Important Policies Adding a class You cannot add a course after the first day the class meets. Dropping a class You can drop a class through Friday of the first week and still be eligible for a refund. REMEMBER!!!...yada yada Attendance and Withdrawal Policy Students classified as NO Show for both of the first two weeks will be withdrawn from the class/classes they are not attending and your financial aid will be adjusted. If you withdraw from a class after the withdrawal deadline you will receive a WF grade. These and other important dates are listed on the official Academic Calendar at /calendar.

10 SUCCESSTIPS AN OVERVIEW Get to class Set a realistic schedule Know your professor Get involved on campus Poor attendance is the #1 reason students fail. Arrive on time so you won t miss any important information or assignments. Taking too many classes leads to poor grades. Plan to spend twice as much time studying as you do in class. Get to know your professor. They have office hours and are available to help you. Studies show the more a student is involved the better they do in their classes.

11 PAYINGFORCOLLEGE TUITION DUE DATE Get information on tuition due dates: /universalduedate Tuition Due Date It is important to know your tuition due date so that your classes don t get dropped from your schedule for nonpayment. 12 STUDENTID YOUR PASSPORT TO SUPPORT What is it for? Check out library materials. Use a computer lab. Work out at a wellness center. Ride on the PSTA bus for FREE. Get into some special and cultural events for free. /studentid How to get your ID: 1. Visit your nearest campus. 2. Bring a Photo ID (e.g. drivers license). 3. Bring a paid receipt for the current session or proof of an extended tuition due date.
