1 2017 Annual Report Help Guide DUE NOVEMBER 15 Complete Online Annual Report Upload external Financial Audit, Audit Management Letter, Catalog(s) Upload Progress Report (if required by Commission) TIPS FOR 2017 ENTERING DATA After keying in data, click ENTER key (GREEN CHECK MARK confirms data is saved) Round dollars to nearest whole number DO NOT use decimals, commas, or dollar signs EDITING DATA Saved Data appears as gray font and can be edited No need to delete text; simply key new information over existing data GREEN CHECK MARK confirms edited data is saved PRINTING Modules as Worksheets: Select Year (drop-down arrow) Select module to print (Annual Report Tab, drop-down arrow) Click on Short Form (printer icon) Click on Print This Form icon Save to pdf and print/distribute Completed Report: Select Year, 2017 Annual Report, Print Report (drop-down arrow) Click on Print This Form icon Save to pdf file, then print the saved pdf document 1

2 2017 ABHE Annual Report WELCOME to the 2017 Online Annual Report. From the COA Portal, you can complete your Online Annual Report, make changes in the personnel and contact listing, and submit required fall documents (i.e., external financial audit and audit management letter, academic catalog(s), progress report). The COA Portal offers 24/7 access for updating your institutional information. The information entered here is what the public sees on the abhe.org website and what the Commission on Accreditation uses to review institutions, so please be sure your information is accurate. QUESTIONS about the Online Annual Report should be directed to Commission Staff: or call , option 2 Using the Correct Web Browser is HTML5 compliant; as such you will need to use an HTML5 compliant web browser to complete the ABHE Annual Report. We suggest you use Chrome or Firefox as your web browser when completing the Online Annual Report. 2

3 Signing in for the First Time To access the Online Annual Report, go to or Password: The address on record in the COA Portal Your password If you have never signed in to the COA Portal, then you will NOT have an account and one will have to be created for you. To get an account/login: Have your Accreditation Liaison or President your request to Forgot Your Sign In Information: If you have forgotten your sign in information please select the I forgot my login information. An reminder will be sent to you instantly and should arrive in your inbox within a few minutes. If you do not receive an in your inbox, be sure to check your spam/junk folder. If you changed your address, but did not change it in the COA Portal, your old address is still your login. If you are still unable to sign in, please contact coa@abhe.org or call and one of our support staff can help. 3

4 MY COLLEGE TOOLBAR To access the Annual Report select the button My Colleges from the Navigation Bar on the left side of the screen. If your institution is not listed please contact to have this resolved. Multiple institutions will show up for those individuals who have access to more than one institution s Annual Report. ANNUAL REPORT 1. Select the current year 2. Select the module you want to print or complete 4

5 Annual Report: Navigation Next Advances to the next page in the Section when using the page by page model of completing the Annual Report. Click on the up arrow to see remaining pages. Back Returns to the previous page in the Section when using the page by page model of completing the Annual Report. Click on the up arrow to see previous pages. Do NOT use your browser s Back / Forward buttons to navigate the Annual Report LOCATION ID: (2017) 1/1_ <special ID> Please include the Location ID (LOC ID) when contacting the Commission Office for assistance. 6 Annual Report: Confirming Saved Data After keying in data, click the ENTER key. A green check mark will appear at the right side of the data field, confirming that your new data has been recorded. BEFORE AFTER Editing Data Data that is saved will appear in gray font and can be edited. There is no need to delete text; simply key new information over the existing data. A green check mark confirms that edited data is saved. Annual Report: Section Complete There is no saving or submitting required. 6
