2 Southeast Arkansas College Before beginning the following steps to access WebAdvisor, please submit an online WebAdvisor request to or. How to log in to WebAdvisor 1. Open your Web Browser, for example: Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer. 2. From the home page scroll over Other Click WebAdvisor. Default User Information User Name : Password: NOTICE TO ALL STUDENTS First-time entering students MUST register in person. WebAdvisor is open to self-pay students (100% via credit card) and financial aid recipients (approved and awarded). EXCEPTIONS: 1. Students accepted into any Nursing and Allied Health programs DO NOT register via WebAdvisor. 2. Third Party Sponsored Students should contact the Cashier's office in Business Services prior to registering online. 3. Click on Log In on the WebAdvisor Main page. Please keep your log-in information confidential. I have read and agree to the above statements. Please be advised frequent or multiple WebAdvisor reset request will result in a mandatory orientation before the request can be processed. I have read and agree to the above statements. Please contact the WebAdvisor Office at , if you do not know your userid. 5. Enter your 6 digit Date of Birth as a default password. Ex: mmddyy. 6. Click on SUBMIT. 7. On the Change Password page, Enter User ID and default password (mmddyy). Then enter new password must be 6-9 characters in length with a combination of numbers (431) and letters (AbC). Then confirm the new password. 8. Passwords are case sensitive and must be entered exactly the same each time you log in, for example: HAPPY2BME is not the same as happy2bme. 9. Click on SUBMIT You are now logged in to WebAdvisor. Please take the time to explore all the options within WebAdvisor. Exploring WebAdvisor Links and Menus 1. Click on Students in the WebAdvisor Main Menu. 2. Click on Account Summary by Term. 3. Click on OK after viewing Account Summary. 4. Click on Financial Aid Status by Year. 5. Select the Award Year you wish to review. 6. Click on Financial Aid Status by Year. 7. Click on SUBMIT. 8. After viewing Financial Aid document, Click on OK. 9. Click on Financia Aid Status by Term. 3
4 10. Click on SUBMIT in Financia Aid Status by Term. 11. Click on My Documents in WebAdvisor for Students. 12. Click on OK in the My Documents Screen. 13. Click on My Advisor(s) in WebAdvisor for Students. 14. Click on SUBMIT in My Advisor(s). Continue to explore the WebAdvisor links more by trying the following steps. Reviewing Class Schedule 1. Click on Students. 2. Click on My class schedule. 3. Click on Term. 4. View My class schedule. You can print an unofficial Schedule in WebAdvisor from this screen. 5. Click on SUBMIT. 6. Click on OK. Click on Search for Sections. 3. Click on Term. 4. Click on SUBMIT. The search for section screen is only to look up information about a course. 5. Click on CLOSE WINDOW. 6. Click on Register for Sections. 7. Click on Search and Register for Sections. 8. Select Term. 9. Click on SUBMIT. The Search and Register Screen allows students to look up information about a course as well as register for the course. 10. Select Course: Example Fall DRAF Click on check box. 12. Click on SUBMIT in Section Selection Results. Students can register or Drop class sections simultaneously. 13. Click on the course: Example Fall DRAF Click on Current Registrations. 15. Click on SUBMIT in the Register and Drop Sections Menu. You are now registered in the course. You will receive a confirmation . How to Register using Academic Planning for Students in WebAdvisor 1. Start from the WebAdvisor Home page 2. Click the Log In link to log in to the site, then click Submit. 3. Click on the Students link to begin to access the Student menu. 4. Once logged in, click on the Program Evaluation link under Academic Planning to run a Degree Audit Evalua- Math Specialist/TRIO Michael Turley mturley@seark.edu 8 5

(The Degree Audit Evaluation is a report that displays all of the courses required to complete the degree programs, and the student s courses -- completed, registered, planned, transferred and non-courses). 5. Select the appropriate Academic Program (Major) and click OK. 6. View the results (sample Degree Audit report). Click OK when finished. 7. Next, click on the Plan Courses link. 8. Click on Course Planning Wizard to begin planning courses 9. Confirm the Academic Program you want to plan is correct, and click Submit. 10. Select a requirement to begin planning, and click Submit. 11. Select a sub requirement (specific course(s)) to begin planning, and click Submit. 12. Select the course(s) and the term(s) you would like to plan and click Submit. 13. View the planned courses that have been added to the Worksheet. (Note that these courses are planned and NOT registered). Repeat the above s to continue to add courses to Worksheet for Academic Advisor approval. 14. You can modify your selections by clicking Modify link to change the planned term, or remove the course from your list of planned courses, then click Submit. You can also modify courses on Worksheet from the Students Menu by clicking Modify Worksheet. 15. View results of course plan modification. 16. Return to the Students Menu and repeat s to continue planning courses 17. Return to Students Menu and click on Advisor to alert them of course plans. 18. Type to Advisor and click Submit 19. Once the Academic Counselor has approved the planned course(s), click on Register link from Students Menu. You can also click on View Worksheet to view approved courses and select Register link. 20. Select the appropriate Academic Program. 21. View and select from the Worksheet you want to register for and click Submit. 22. Select course sections from the options by placing a check mark to the left of the box and click Submit. 23. View selected course sections and choose an Action (i.e. Register, Audit or Remove from List) and click Submit. 24. View successful registrations. Note you can remove course sections from list of potential course registrations by selecting Remove from List. 25. Return to Students Menu and click on Advisor-approved Ed Plan to view courses approved by Academic Counselor. 26. Select an appropriate Academic Program and Action (i.e. Planned Courses or Full Planned) and click Submit. 27. View Educational Plan. Checking Grades in WebAdvisor 1. Click on Grades. 2. Click on Current Term example 2010FA. 3. Click on SUBMIT. 4. After viewing semester grades Click on OK. 5. Click on Transcript. 6. After viewing transcript click on SUBMIT. Shows all courses with grades and credits earned. This screen also shows student current credits and Cumulative GPA. 7. Click on OK in Transcript. To insure the security of your data, always close your browser window. Click on the red X and then click OK. 6 7
