If you are unable to locate the email containing your MAPS

Enter your RUSDlearns email address and click on Send

3 If you are unable to locate the containing your MAPS password: 1. From the MAPS log-in screen, click on the Forgot Password link. 2. Enter your RUSDlearns address and click on Send Instructions. 3. Check your RUSDlearns gmail account for a link to reset your password. 1 2 From the navigation tree on the left of the screen select MANAGE TEST SESSIONS. 3

4 Click on the Test My Class button. Do this step PRIOR to testing day. You will need to know the section number for each of your class periods. To locate the section numbers for your classes: Open your Aeries.net Gradebook Dashboard. Select Manage Gradebook next to any class. Scroll down to find Sections. Print this screen so you have a copy of your period/section numbers. 4

5 Look in the Class Name column and locate the section # of the class period you want to test. Tick in the box next to your testing class. Click on the Test Now button. Locate the Select Status button select All 5

6 You may find that you are missing a student from your class roster or you have additional students testing with you that need to be added to your testing roster. Click on the Add More Students button. Type in the student Last Name and First Name. Click Search 6

7 Click the Add Students button. If you have many students from another class section testing with you, it may be easier to search for that teacher s class section instead of going name by name. 7

8 From this screen, you may add this entire class roster to yours by clicking on Add Students. Or, you may click the names of individual students to add to your testing roster. Click on Add Students. Click on the Assign Test(s) button 8

9 The Math test is called: Math 6+ CA 2010 test (there are 52 questions) The ELA test is called: Reading 6+ CA 2010 V2 test (there are 42 questions) 9

10 The assigned test will show next to each student name. Best practice is to set up the testing session for each class PRIOR to testing day. Click on the button. 10

11 Name this testing session. Name should be brief and easy for students to type. Example: teacher last name+period #. Click on the button. Repeat this process for ALL of your testing classes. You should have 5 saved testing sessions when complete (or the number of classes you re testing). 11

12 From the Manage Test Session Screen click on Show in the Saved Testing Session bar in the lower-right corner. Check to be sure that all of the testing sessions you saved are showing on this screen. If you re missing any, go back and create a testing session and save it. All saved testing sessions show here. 12

13 From the Manage Test Session Screen click on Show in the Saved Testing Session bar in the lower-right corner. Click in the button to the left of the testing session you want to open Click on the Test Now button

14 1. Wrote the Testing Session Name and Password on the board for students. 2. Confirm the students to begin testing. 1 Students will use their Chromebook to take the MAP assessments. Remind your students to bring a FULLY CHARGED Chromebook to school. RUSD issued Chromebooks MUST be used. Personal devices WILL NOT access this test. 14

15 Power-on the Chromebook. Students DO NOT log-in to the Chromebook. Hover over the Apps button in the lower-left corner of the screen. Select MAP Chromebook Testing App. Students enter the Test Session Name and Password noted on the board. Click on the Join button. 15

16 Students click in the Choose your name box to select their name. Click Next. When Next is clicked the Selected Test will automatically be selected. Click Next. 16

17 1/13/2017 Student will see this window. Check Name Check Test Click Yes to Continue or No to start over. 17

18 Look in the Status column. To Be Confirmed means that student has successfully connected to MAPS and is ready to begin testing. Click the Confirm Now button (it will tell you how many students you are confirming). This page updates every 60 seconds. You may want to manually refresh it sooner to grab more students to confirm. Click on the Refresh Status button to manually update the page. Confirm Now any newly To Be Confirmed students. Repeat this process until ALL STUDENTS have been confirmed 18

From the Select Action box Pause/Resume 5 minutes before the end of the class period ask students to finish

19 If a student needs to use the restroom or leave the room for some reason but will return to the test in less than 30 minutes the test may be Paused. Click in the box to the left of the student name. From the Select Action box Pause/Resume 5 minutes before the end of the class period ask students to finish the question that they are on and then stop. Allow students time to finish their last answer. Click on the End Testing Session button. 19

20 Click on the Yes, End Testing Session button. On the first day of testing you may save your session for re-use on the following testing day, name the session with your Last Name and period. Students will login in with the same session name NEW password. Click the Save and Exit button. Now you re back to the beginning and ready to begin your next class 20

21 Students may use pencil and scratch paper (if a calculator is necessary, an icon will appear on the test question where allowed. Students will need multiple class periods to complete the test. Pause (30 minutes or less) Suspend (31 minutes 4 weeks) Terminate (to delete test) To apply accommodations, check the student name, click on the Assign Accommodations button and yes should appear in the far right column by their name. Text to student interacts with JAWS software and can be downloaded and link added to test page. (Sorry, I know NOTHING more than this ). 21
