9 EE398B Term Projects - General Preferably in groups of 2-3 students, 80 hours per person Class-room presentations of ongoing research projects in the Image, Video and Multimedia Systems Group: April 12/17 Project proposal required, deadline: April 24 Class-room presentations of project proposals: April 24 Class-room presentations of projects: May 29/31 Submission of project report: deadline May 25, no extensions! 12 Carrying out the work Make a work plan Maintain a log (must be submitted with final report) Start early! Use ISE lab and/or your own computing resources Design experiments with the outcome in mind Always double-check the correctness of your implementation and results Run experiments with obvious outcomes Don t accept results that you can t explain If you are uncertain, show intermediate results to mentor, TA or instructor Bernd Girod: EE398B Image Communication II Introduction no. 12

13 Project report Should be as submitted as a pdf file 2000 words typical, 4000 words max., not including references Include graphs, pictures, and references Groups submit ONE report, with the log of who did what as an appendix to the report Details of submission to be announced Deadline: Friday, May 25, midnight.
