Our festream Technology provides high performance, deep packet and content inspection and analysis for IPTV, VoD and MS-IPTV streams.

Testing can be performed at the headend, core and edge routers 24x7 monitoring of alarms with or text messaging Shows channels availability hour by hour Measures video/audio quality with state-of-the-art MOS scoring technology Provides detailed perceptual, video and transport metrics to pinpoint problem areas and determine root cause Captures IGMP and RTSP protocol handshakes Displays live video preview of any unencrypted channel Test results recorded on the Server and available on remote Client

6 XMS - Server/Client Architecture XMS Server continuously monitors up to 500 SD and HD channels via Gigabit interfaces. synchronizes to each channel and a detailed QoE analysis is performed in real-time with over 100 specialized metrics. Test data is accumulated on the hard drive ready for interrogation by the Client. XMS Client interrogates the XMS Server periodically to update the Summary metrics for each of the monitored channels. Displays channel availability 24 x 7. If detailed analysis is needed a set of perceptual, video and transport metrics is uploaded from the Server and problem can be isolated further.

7 XMS - Client Summary Report XMS Client main screen shows a complete channel list, test start/stop times, channel availability (24 hour breakdown), alarm status and form of alarm notification sent. It also allows the user to see a video preview for a selected channel. Additionally, there is a summary of key quality metrics such as MOS score, TR Priority 1/2, %static, %frozen and %blank screens. It also allows the user to display zap time, joins/leaves with IGMP information and VoD setup/tear down with RTSP protocol flows.

8 XMS - Client Detail Metrics (just like EXFO s Expert IPTV Test Tools) All monitored channels are constantly analyzed. Double-clicking on the selected channel opens the Detail Quality Analysis Suite that provides over 100 state-of-theart test metrics grouped under: Video Config Video Packets TR Audio Video Frame Video Bandwidth Charts

9 XMS - Client IGMP and RTSP protocol decodes At specific locations of the IPTV network, both the IGMP and RTSP ( VoD) channel join & leave requests events can be recorded. A detail protocol flow of each event is recorded and available as a Flow View. This example shows VoD RTSP flow for the highlighted channel.

11 XMS Client alarm reporting CMS Client receives an updated Alarm Report from the CMS server anytime a new alarm event occurs. In addition, or text message is sent with a description of the alarm content.

12 XMS Market Differentiators XMS provides real time measurements of what the subscribers quality of experience (QoE) will be. This goes way beyond just dropped packets and outages. It includes MOS scores, % tiled frames, % static/frozen screens, % black screens, channel change time (ZAP) and much more. XMS provides real time video decode on the client. XMS provides a comprehensive set of metrics that can be used to determine root cause.
