6 6 1 Document Introduction 1.1 Terms The following terms are used in this document. Their definitions and descriptions are given in the table below. Terms Data Store Definitions Storage for spatial data to synchronize or be synchronized. Depending on the location of storage, it is identified as a server store o local store. It can be set up through 'Catalog View' of GeoNURIS Desktop Pro. Spatial Spatial data storage that can save spatial data in Data servers and use them. Spatial GIS engine (ex: GSS, Server ArcSDE) to use spatial data in various ways must be Store installed. 11 2 Introudction 2.1 What is GeoNURIS SETL? GeoNURIS SETL is an optimized solution to synchronize data in different devices in network. It guarantees stable synchronization of larger data and provides various operations by supporting the functions that users define and advanced systems for converting data. In addition, when setting up synchronization, GeoNURIS SETL provides the various features necessary to synchronize and is designed for user friendliness and standard extension. 1) Compositions of GeoNURIS SETL SETL Agent : Synchronize SETL Proxy : Encrypted communication between Agent and Desktop Pro SETL Plug-In : Manage synchronization schedule and monitor synchronization

22 22 a. Click on [Search for Others] to find the Java VM that is already installed. b. Click on [Stop Searching] if Java VM that you want is shown in the list. c. Select the Java VM and click on [Next] to go to the next step. 5. Choose Install Folder : Choose where SETL Agent is installed

23 a. The default directory is 'C:\Program Files\GSELAgent'. Click on [Choose] to change the direction. b. Choose where you want to install the product. c. Click on [Restore Default Folder] to install in the default folder. d. After choosing the folder to install, click on [Next] to go to the next step. 6. Choose Shortcut Folder : Create shortcuts for user conveince after installing SETL Agent. Enter the direction of existing Java VM and press [Enter]. 4. Choose Install Folder a. The default directory is '/home/geonuris/gselagent'. You can enter the direction where you want to install.

Choose Symbolic Link Location : After installing SETL Agent, compose Symbolic Link for user convenience Installation Option Status Description '1- Default: /home/geonuris' Create Symbolic Link in '/home/geonuris' folder '2- In your home folder' Create Symbolic Link in home folder of the current user '3- Choose another location' Create Symbolic Link in the folder that the user specifies '4- Don t create links' Do not create Symbolic Link a. 37 a. Click on [Next]. 3. Choose Install Folder : Choose where SETL Proxy is installed. a. The default directory is 'C:\Program Files\GSETLProxy'. Click on [Choose] to change the direction. b. Choose where you want to install the product. c. Click on [Restore Default Folder] to install in the default folder. d. After choosing the folder to install, click on [Next] to go to the next step.

You can enter the direction where you want to install. 5. Choose Symbolic Link Location : After installing SETL Proxy, compose Symbolic Link for user convenience. 46 46 : Installation completed 3.3 Install GeoNURIS Desktop Pro SETL Plug-in Direction to Install Plug-in The direction to install GeoNURIS SETL Desktop Pro SETL Plug-in is like the image below Install Plug-in 1. Refresh GeoNURIS Desktop Pro : In order to install Plug-In, GeoNURIS Desktop Pro should be fully updated.

47 a. Run GeoNURIS Desktop Pro. b. Choose Help > Check for Updates. 2. Refresh GeoNURIS Desktop Pro (Continued) a. Choose items to be refreshed and click on [Next]. b. Check the items to be refreshed and click on [Next].

48 48 3. Refresh GeoNURIS Desktop Pro (Continued) a. Choose 'I accept the terms of the license agreements' b. Click on [Finish] to refresh GeoNURIS Desktop Pro. 4. Install GeoNURIS Desktop Pro SETL Plug-in a. Choose Help > Install New Software.

49 5. Install GeoNURIS Desktop Pro SETL Plug-in (Continued) b. Choose 'GeoNURIS- from work items. c. Choose 'GeoNURIS SETL' from items to be refreshed. d. Check the version of GeoNURIS SETL.

50 50 e. Click on [Next]. 6. Install GeoNURIS Desktop Pro SETL Plug-in (Continued) a. Click on [Next] to move to the <Review Licenses> installation window. b. Select 'I accept the terms of the license agreements'.

51 c. Click on [Finish] to install SETL Plug-In. 7. Check GeoNURIS Desktop Pro SETL Plug-in installed : After installing SETL Plug-In is completed, check File Menu, D2W Menu, and Window Menu. - File Menu - D2W Menu

54 54 4 Operate GeoNURIS SETL 4.1 Configure GeoNURIS SETL SETL Settings Folder Conf folder File Records settings in 3 separate files, 'conf.properties', 'engines. xml', 'schedules.xml'. 1. conf.properties file : This file includes information necessary to run SETL Agent such as port numbers to connect to Agent, user accounts, data to connect to Proxy Server.

55 2. schedules.xml file : This file includes task schedule to copy and back up spatial data using SETL Agent. : The file is written in form of XML, and users can edit the file using text editors such as Notepad, Wordpad and GUI of GeoNURIS Desktop Pro.

56 56 3. engines.xml file : This file includes information on GIS engine data and to connect to Store that manage spatial information through SETL Agent.

57 4.2 Operate GeoNURIS SETL Service Start GeoNURIS SETL Service The method to start GeoNURIS SETL Service(Agent/Proxy) consists of using menu, using command, and using service, and GeoNURIS SETL service(agent/proxy) are used in the same way. 1. GeoNURIS SETL UNIX/Linux Service 1) Run Background Daemon a. Move to '<Installation Folder>/bin' b. Run (./start &) 2. GeoNURIS SETL Windows Service 1) Use menu : In case of which 'In a new Program Group' is chosen in the step of 'Choose Shortcut

58 58 Folder' while installing, Start service using [Start] in Program menu. - Start SETL Agent/Proxy Service - Result from starting SETL Agent/Proxy Service 2) Use command : Start the service using [Start] of SETL Agent installation folder('c:\program Files\GSETLAgent\bin') and SETL Proxy installation folder ('C:\Program Files\GSETLProxy\bin'). - Start SETL Agent/Proxy Service - Result from SETL Agent/Proxy Service

59 3) Use Service : Start the service using Administrative Tools>Service. - Run Administrative Tools>Service. - Choose GeoNURIS SETL Agent/Proxy and click on [Start] to start the service

60 Stop GeoNURIS SETL Service Method to stop SETL Service(Agent/Proxy) is the reverse order to start the service. 1. GeoNURIS SETL UNIX/Linux Service 1) Stop Background Daemon a. Move to '<Installation Folder>/bin' folder b. Run./stop 2. GeoNURIS SETL Windows Service 1) Use menu : In case of which 'In a new Program Group' is chosen in the step of 'Choose Shortcut Folder' while installing, Stop the service using [Stop] in Program menu. - Stop SETL Agent/Proxy Service The console window is also closed when stopping the service. 2) Use command : Stop the service using [Stop] of SETL Agent installation ('C:\Program Files\GSETLAgent\bin') and SETL Proxy installation folder ('C:\Program Files\GSETLProxy\bin'). - Stop SETL Agent/Proxy Service

61 3) Use Service : Stop the service using Administrative Tools>Service. - Run Administrative Tools>Service. - Choose GeoNURIS SETL Agent/Proxy and click on [Stop] to stop the service Choose GeoNURIS SETL Agent/Proxy and click on [Start] to start the service

62 Synchronize GeoNURIS SETL GeoNURIS Desktop Pro-based Synchronization GeoNURIS Desktop Pro-based synchronization is appropriate for small distributed environment and guarantees fast performance. It manage task schedules such as connecting the local PC, which GeoNURIS Desktop is installed, to GIS DBMS, collecting spatial data, and synchronization.

63 4.3.2 Prepare for SETL Synchronization Before synchronizing spatial data, the source and target for synchronization should be specified. the source and target should be created using Calalog View from GeoNURIS Desktop Pro. Ex) GSS Connection information Choose Catalog View and Click on Add Data Store from the popup menu to connect Refer : See GeoNURIS Desktop Pro Manual to learn how to register Data Store Create SETL Synchronization Schedule Use SETL D2W Editor like the followings to create synchronization schedules. 1.
