It locks and unlocks with a tap of your phone. Auto lock/unlock by proximity: You can set Ellipse to unlock as you approach your bike and lock when you walk away from it, automatically. Secure Backup Access If your phone runs out of battery, Ellipse s capacitive touchpad allows you to key in a personal code of up to eight characters to lock and unlock your Ellipse.

2 Self-charging Ellipse's built-in solar panel automatically charges the battery as you go about your day. Normal use in outdoor or indoor light will keep the battery charged. In the rare instance the battery runs out, you can charge it by exposing Ellipse to light or through a micro-usb charger. Main Menu Using Keyless Entry 1. DOWNLOAD THE APP. Download the Ellipse Lock app from the App Store or Google Play Store. 2. CREATE A USER ACCOUNT. Follow the in-app instructions to create an account. Allow the app to access Bluetooth. 3. PAIR YOUR LOCK. From the Main Menu, select ELLIPSES > ADD NEW > SET UP MY OWN ELLIPSES. Press the lock s touch pad to turn it on. Press OK, TOUCH PAD IS ON. Your Ellipse lock name should appear on the next screen. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the pairing. 4. SET UP BACKUP ACCESS. Follow the on-screen instructions to set a passcode for the touch pad during Step 3. To find or reset your passcode, go to the Main Menu, select ELLIPSES > LOCK NAME (under CURRENTLY CONNECTED). Swipe to the left. Select SETTINGS > PIN CODE. Note: the ^ (UP) button is the one away from the shackle. It flashes when the touch pad is turned on. 5. ACTIVATE AUTO LOCK & UNLOCK. From the Main Menu, select ELLIPSES > LOCK NAME. Swipe to the left. Select SETTINGS. Push the PROXIMITY LOCK toggle to the right to turn it on or left to turn it off. PROXIMITY UNLOCK works the same way. Each feature works independently. Touch Pad & Up Button Swipe to the left to show SETTINGS

3 Ellipse is Secure Theft Alerts Ellipse (with its built-in accelerometer) will send you an alert if your bike is disturbed. Its Bluetooth range is up to 800ft (243m). You can adjust the alert sensitivity and toggle the feature on and off. Strong & Secure 17mm thick forged steel shackle. Dual-locking mechanism. It needs to be cut through at least twice to break. Bank-level encryption prevents the most determined hackers from finding a virtual way in. Durable Ellipse has been extensively tested against everything life throws at cyclists. Rain, dust, heat, cold - you name it, Ellipse can handle it. Using Theft Alert 1. TURN ON THEFT ALERT. On the lock Home Screen, press the THEFT DETECTION ON button, located in the bottom right corner of the screen, to turn it on. Press again to turn it off. The button will be lit when the theft alert is turned on. 2. ADJUST THEFT ALERT SENSITIVITY. From the Main Menu, select ELLIPSES > LOCK NAME. Swipe to the left. Select SETTINGS. Select Theft Detection Settings to adjust the sensitivity level. Toggle On/Off Adjust Theft Alert Sensitivity

4 Ellipse is Shareable Give Your Friends Access Set up your own bike share network. Simply select the friend you want to share your bike with and send them an invitation with a secure code. They can enter the code in the Ellipse app and unlock the bike when they're in range (available January 2017). Locate Your Bike When you grant friends access to your Ellipse, they can see where your bike is parked on the map, making it easy to find. This feature also works for you, in case you forget where you parked. Notify Your Loved Ones Ellipse can detect many types of serious crashes using its built-in accelerometer. It will notify your trusted network when you re involved in a serious accident. Using Crash Alert/Locating Bike 1. TURN ON CRASH ALERT. Press the CRASH DETECTION ON button in the bottom left corner of the lock Home Screen to turn it on. The button will be lit when crash alert is on. Press again to turn it off. Crash alert will only work when you have both the Ellipse lock and the phone with you. 2. SET UP EMERGENCY CONTACTS. You will need to set up your emergency contacts to send for help. Go to the Main Menu. Select EMERGENCY CONTACTS. 3. LOCATE YOUR BIKE. From the Main Menu, select FIND MY ELLIPSE. You should see your Ellipse s location, your location and the location of any Ellipse shared with you (if applicable) on a map on the next screen.
