1 DM500-DM1000 Postage Discount Program Custom Preset Instructions The meter advertisement that states Drop Ship Authorization Number XXXX will be ordered by the Postage Discount Program Help Line at This will be sent to you as a Download. To set up presets, you need to be set the machine up first to the way you want it to be set and then save the settings to a new preset. This is how this is done: For Weigh on the Way Machines 1. Hit the NORMAL button to go to the customer s standard settings. 2. To Turn Weigh on the Way on Hit MODE, choose WEIGH ON THE WAY, press ENTER 3. Change Class Hit the CLASS button on the screen and then go to FIRST CLASS PRESORT, LETTER press HOME. 4. Add Hit MENU, then METER STAMP OPTIONS, INSCRIPTION, PRESORTED FIRST CLASS, hit ENTER. 5. (Add Drop Ship Meter Ad (Only when applicable) Hit MENU, Then METER STAMP OPTIONS, METER AD, Choose the DROP SHIP Meter Ad, hit ENTER.) 6. Advance Date - Hit MENU, then METER STAMP OPTIONS, DATE, ADVANCE DATE, for days hit 1, hit ENTER., OK, HOME. 7. Set 2 Ounce Maximum WOW Weight Limit MENU, SET UP, SCALE/RATES, WOW WEIGHT LIMIT, enter 0LB 2 OZ ENTER. (After step 12 you must hit the NORMAL PRESET and go back and repeat step 7 to make sure that the normal settings for the machine default back to 1 LB 0 OZ). 8. To Save the Advance Day Feature - Press MENU, SETUP, PRESETS, DATE ADVANCE press to ON, press EXIT SET UP. 9. To Set the Machine to kick out the piece if it is over 2 ounces Press MENU, SETUP, SCALE/RATES, WOW LIMIT, change from 1 LB 0 OZ to 0 LB 2 OZ. press EXIT SET UP. 10. To Save the Settings to a Preset Press MENU, SETUP, PRESETS, STORE CURRENT SETTINGS TO PRESET, pick a preset that is listed as AVAILABLE, and type in the name PRESORT WOW, press ENTER, ENTER. 11. Go to the NORMAL PRESET and make sure it has not changed. If you did step 7 to change the WOW limit for the preset, go back to MENU, SETUP, SCALE/RATES, WOW LIMIT and make sure it defaults back to 1 LB 0 OZ under the NORMAL PRESET. 12. To Set up a Now WOW Preset Press MODE, WEIGH FIRST PIECE, press ENTER. Then store the preset by hitting MENU, SETUP, PRESETS, STORE CURRENT SETTINGS TO PRESET, pick a preset that is listed as AVAILABLE, and type in the name PRESORT NONWOW, press ENTER.

2 For Non-Weigh on the Way Machines 1. Hit the NORMAL button to go to the customer s standard settings. 2. Change Class Hit the CLASS button on the screen and then go to FIRST CLASS PRESORT, LETTER press HOME. 3. Add Hit MENU, then METER STAMP OPTIONS, INSCRIPTION, PRESORTED FIRST CLASS, hit ENTER. 4. (Add Drop Ship Meter Ad (Only when applicable) Hit MENU, Then METER STAMP OPTIONS, METER AD, Choose the DROP SHIP Meter Ad, hit ENTER.) 5. Advance Date - Hit MENU, then METER STAMP OPTIONS, DATE, ADVANCE DATE, for days hit 1, hit ENTER., OK, HOME. 6. To Save the Advance Day Feature - Press MENU, SETUP, PRESETS, DATE ADVANCE press to ON, press EXIT SET UP. 7. To Save the Settings to a Preset Press MENU, SETUP, PRESETS, STORE CURRENT SETTINGS TO PRESET, pick a preset that is listed as AVAILABLE and type in the name PRESORT, press ENTER, ENTER. 1. To save these settings, Press MENU, then scroll down to PRESET OPTIONS. Press CREATE NEW CUSTOM PRESET, Enter NAME (name the new preset PDP 1OZ) then press ENTER then YES.. 5. Do the same steps above for $.519 to save a 2 ounce preset and name it PDP 2OZ.. 1. Press CUSTOM PRESET, select VIEW PRESET and select the preset you want. 2. To advance date press MENU, PRINTING OPTIONS, SET OR ADVANCE DATE, choose 1 DAY.

7 B900 Preset Instructions Presorted First Class Permit Inscription Order This needs to be ordered at no charge to the customer by the Postage Discount Program Help Line at To install the inscription open the cover of the meter and insert using the included tool next to the date. Take out when not in use. The meter advertisement that states Drop Ship Authorization Number XXXX will be ordered by the Postage Discount Program Help Line at This will be sent to you as an ad plate in the mail. To install the plate open the front cover of the meter and insert where indicated. Take out when not in use. 5. Install the inscription Presorted First Class by opening the cover of the meter and installing next to the date. (Do the same for the Meter Ad if applicable.) 6. Open the cover of the meter and advance the date 1 day. 7. Enter $.394 for one ounce mail or $.519 for 2 ounce mail and press enter.

8 B700 Preset Instructions Presorted First Class Permit Inscription Order Number Code 35 This needs to be ordered at no charge to the customer by the Postage Discount Program Help Line at The meter advertisement that states Drop Ship Authorization Number XXXX will be ordered by the Postage Discount Program Help Line at This will be sent to you as a cartridge in the mail. To install the cartridge Hold the slogan cartridge with the label facing the front of the meter and gently push it into the cartridge well as far as it will go. 11. To enter Setup Mode, press CLEAR (C) and ENTER buttons at the same time. 12. Press 3 (4,5 or 6 for additional presets) and ENTER. 13. The display prompts SET MEMORY 3 KEY? Press ENTER. 14. The display prompts ENTER AMNT and shows current setting. Type in $.394 for a one once piece. Press ENTER. 15. (To set the Drop Ship Meter Ad Only when applicable - The display prompts ENTER AD. Default to 0 and press ENTER. If you are required to have a Drop Ship Authorization Meter Ad, it would have been sent to you by the PDP Help Line. If you need the Ad, choose the ad that corresponds to the Drop Shipment Number and press ENTER.) 16. The display prompts ENTER Inscr and shows the current setting. Press 35 and press ENTER. 17. The display prompts MEM 3 SET and moves on to the next item in the setup menu. 18. Turn the meter OFF and then ON to exit the setup Mode. 19. Repeat the steps above but for step 2 and 3 make sure it is set to 4 (This will set up a second preset) and for step 4 type $.519. This will set up a 2 ounce preset. 8. Press thee MEMORY 1 button (MEMORY 2 for 2 ounce mail) The meter should show up at $ Press the +DATE button 2 times to advance the date. 10. Press ENTER
