1 Trailer Life Directory Campground Navigator 2011 Build# Brief Description of Main Mods & Corrections (includes mods in ALL prior Service Packs) (1) A correction was made to the User POI module to correct an error that was introduced with the addition of the mew multiple POI management capabilities and on some systems would render all POI layers invisible. (2) Code was added to avoid the error condition that would occur if a user tried to run the program on a computer without a printer installed (in the user s Windows control panel). (3) A minor modification was made to allow the program to search for cities with the same name as the state they are in, in the Trip Planner dialog. (4) Code was added to prevent trip calculations from failing if the end point of a trip was set by the user at the end of an un named driveway, over 1 mile in length. Trailer Life Directory Campground Navigator 2011 Service Pack 2a (SP2a) Brief Description of Main Modifications & Corrections (includes mods in prior Service Packs) (1) A correction was made because the original Service Pack 2 installer failed to detect if the program was already running and warn the user, so users would get the error unable to delete or unable to replace TLDCN2011.EXE, since it was running. (2) A correction was made to the fuel cost control, so that the user now can click on the up arrow to change the fuel price. (3) An error was corrected that would sometimes result in the router getting off Interstates and onto US highways because of a road network interface error at state boundary crossing. Trailer Life Directory Campground Navigator 2011 Service Pack 2 (SP2) Brief Description of Main Modifications & Corrections (includes those in SP1, as well) (1) Earlier builds of the program allowed user to create a User park that is NOT near a road network and it then failed when the user adds that point to their trip, with an error message that the point is not on the road network. This error was corrected. (2) An error was corrected that would cause the trip router to fail if two stop/via points were too close to each other (< 500 ft). TLDCN2011 SPn 8/25/2011 1

2 (3) The trip router module was modified to correct an error where the GPS location arrow would disappear and then re appear for no apparent reason. (4) A modification was made to the trip router to correct the problem where in some instances, if the points were close to road segment end points, the directions would say Go East, but the trip highlight would show going West, or it would show the user travelling to the end of the road segment and then backtracking to the selected point. (5) A correction was made to eliminate the problem with the router going Off and the On restricted access roadways, at the same exit. (6) The User POI capabilities were expanded so that now the user can set the visibility for each imported POI theme individually. (7) An option was added to the calculated directions dialog to make the font larger and easier to read. (8) A problem was reported that setting the Ferry priorities to 0 would create all sorts of unreasonable route calculations (because the Ferry route CFCC code was also being used for other road types, e.g. rotaries). The problem was identified and corrected (9) The ESC key now cancels the distance and area calculation modes (activated from the CAD toolbar). (10) A modification was made to NOT allow setting speed limits for each road type below a certain value (limits are displayed in red, when reached). (11) A correction was made to ensure the program centers/pans correctly when the campground info dialog/trip summary is opened/anchored. (12) An error was identified when printing trip directions in collapsed mode, where some of the direction lines were being dropped. The problem was corrected. (13) A problem was discovered and corrected that would result in incorrect calculations if the user selected the metric units option (14) A problem was corrected that would cause the Edge pan South not to work when the GPS panel was open. (15) A problem was corrected that would cause the Directions to be printed with a much larger font, if they were printed after one of the maps. TLDCN2011 SPn 8/25/2011 2

3 Trailer Life Directory Campground Navigator 2011 Service Pack 1 (SP1 Updated) Brief Description of Main Modifications, Corrections, Enhancements (included in SP2) 1. A modification was made, so that Double Clicking on a border crossing line, in the calculated directions dialog, re centers the map at that border crossing. 2. A correction was made to the router to ensure that Ferry routes are NOT given any consideration, if the user has selected No Ferries 3. The GPS set up dialog now allows the user to select the re centering option, without having to wait until they start tracking before doing so. Furthermore, a correction was made to ensure that the GPS settings are preserved between sessions. Another modification was made to address the problem of the program having to be terminated using Task manager if the computer went to hibernation or sleep mode, while in GPS tracking mode. 4. Mode indicators were added to the bottom status area of the program to indicate the mode the program is currently in, e.g., Mapping Mode, Drawing Mode, User Park Mode, etc. 5. A modification was made to eliminate the slowdown in trip calculations that was introduced by using the higher resolution data (more data to load). Trip calculation is now 2 3 times faster than older versions of the software. 6. A modification was made to not allow Via points to be moved totally away from the road network, when moving them using the Alt Click method. 7. Further modifications were made to ensure that the default location for saving trips, is..\documents\tldcn2011\my Trips as originally intended, unless otherwise specified by the user. 8. A correction was made to ensure that when a user starts a trip with Quick Start, after the directions are displayed, selecting Help, About does not cause the main control surface of the application to lose focus and appear as if the program crashed. (It actually never crashed, even in the original release, if the user pressed [ENTER] at that point, the about Box would close, since its O.K. button had the focus, and the user could recover). 9. An error was corrected that would allow city centroid points to be added to a trip as points slightly off the network, or on a non routable, seemingly unconnected road which would then fail to route to, or route through such points. 10. A modification was made to make the string that appears in the Trip Planner dialog, when the user adds a campground to a trip, consistent, regardless of the method used to add the campground (e.g., from the search dialog, from the campground info dialog, etc.) TLDCN2011 SPn 8/25/2011 3

A correction was made to the routine displaying Via point names in the Trip Planner dialog, that was truncating campground description names that contained a CR/LF if the trip file was saved and reloaded. 12. A few misclassified road segments were reported by the users and the errant road segments were re classified to allow proper routing. 13. Layover information is now printed, when the user selects the option to print the Stop Points. 14. A correction was made that would cause the road shields to print over the descriptive trip directions if users were printing at device resolutions lower that 600 dpi. 15. A correction was made to the way the trip type (fast, short, custom) weighing factors were being applied, which resulted in very small routing differences between the three options the routes were effectively all treated as shortest routes. 21. A number of corrections were made to the search engine to correctly treat directional prefixes, (NW, SE, ), certain abbreviations (Blvd, Terrace, ), spelling out street numbers ( Third Street, ), etc. 22. A number of errors were discovered and corrected in locations of Exit Now Points. A further modification was made to correct the behavior that would assign incorrect coordinates to the Exit Now points and would locate the viewport in the middle of the water (blue screen), if the user double clicked to go to the Exit Now point location. 23. A correction was made to the GPS module to allow it to correctly work with the Franson GPS gate. 24. The Trip Planner dialog > City/Town drop down box now remembers search strings entered previously, as it was originally intended. 25. A correction was made so that the shaded relief is now included in the image saved by File, Save Map. 26. A new Option was added that allows campground search filter settings to also be applied in the end of day selection of campgrounds, when planning a trip. 27. The method of cycling through the coordinate formats was augmented to now include all combinations. All combinations are now also available in the Program Options dialog. A corrections was made to the Lon/Lat search dialog as well, so that it now conforms to the Lon/Lat or Lat/Lon order selected by the user. 28. A correction was made to the router to eliminate the failure to calculate, if the user specified a trip of only a few hundred feet. TLDCN2011 SPn 8/25/2011 4

5 29. An error was discovered and corrected in the method for returning and displaying interpolated street addresses in the search dialog. In many instances the program would return the address block range, instead of the actual interpolated address. 30. Overlapping Campgrounds are now slightly offset so that the bitmaps identifying them do not cover each other up. 31. An error was identified and corrected that would result in the error printer not currently printing, in particular when trying to print a mural map. 32. An error was identified corrected in the search engine that would cause many cross street searches to fail. 33. A correction was made to the routing engine to eliminate the accumulation of round off errors that would sometimes result in incorrect average travel speeds being displayed. 34. Code was added to make certain that when the program is exited, the applications ID (mutex) is released, to avoid the situation of the application running in the background, thus not allowing the user to re start the program. 35. A modification was made to display steep grades as > 6%, rather than display a calculated number higher than 6%. Such calculations may not very accurate, because of the elevation data being used. Also, a message was added to notify the user that this is a cautionary grade notification only and these grades are based on approximate, coarse calculations. 36. A correction was made to take into account Daytime savings when reporting sunrise/sunset times, at the bottom of the screen. 37. A correction was made to the user created campgrounds dialog so that the Lon/Lat order of coordinates is consistent with the one set by the user in the Program Options dialog. Also, a correction was made to the search dialog so that if a user created campground is located, clicking Goto Location will locate the viewport at the appropriate location. 38. A modification was made so that if Viapoints are overlapping, Shift clicking will select the visible point, i.e., the one on top. 39. A correction was made to make sure that the user selected coordinate display, in the Program options dialog, is preserved between sessions. 40. A correction was made to the Campground filters dialog so as not to permit the user to end up in a situation where NO park type was selected.
