Revision History I. About the SystemBuilder Templates The SystemBuilder Templates are a collection of VisionTools Pro-e projects used by SystemBuilder. These templates typically contain pages for all types of devices which are copied as needed in order to create custom projects for each interface in your SystemBuilder system. NOTE: If you want to modify a Crestron supplied template for your own customization, make a copy first and then modify the copy. Otherwise your changes may be overwritten by a future template release. The SystemBuilder Templates require VisionTools Pro-e or higher. II. Using the Templates There is no user interaction required to use the templates. Simply run the installation and SystemBuilder will automatically begin using the new templates. Please note that installing the new templates will have no effect on existing SystemBuilder created projects. Only interfaces added to a SystemBuilder system after the new templates have been installed will be affected. However, there are two exceptions: 1. If a new device is added to the system, any interfaces setup to control that device will retrieve the pages for that device from the appropriate new template. 2. Under an Interface's Properties, on the Devices tab, you may right-click on a device to rebuild the pages just for that device. If you want to update all devices controlled by an existing interface in a SystemBuilder system, you can open an Interface's Properties, select the Advanced tab, and check the "Rebuild interface project" check box. When you click on the OK button the project will be rebuilt from scratch using the new templates. NOTE: Rebuilding the interface project will remove any logic that you may have added to the interface manually. Use this feature with caution. III. Template Groups These release notes may refer to the templates by a group name rather than listing each individual template. Any exception to the group will still be listed individually. The ADMS OSD template, as an integral part of the ADMS Intermedia Delivery System, a residential product, just includes pages for devices that are generally considered residential devices. V. Known Issues 1. Audio Distribution systems AD Rooms do not currently support the Current_Source_Owner$ cue. All touch screens will generate warnings regarding this cue for Listen-only and Listen-only (override) pages with Audio Distribution systems in AD Rooms. VI.
