8 3. Short to select,short press M to confirm Synchronous Lyric Display The player supports lyric files with *.LRC suffix, and displays synchronously. How to use lyric files? Please make sure the lyric has the same name to the music For example: Music file: My heart will go on.mp3 Lyric file: My heart will go on.lrc How to know if lyric available? When the lyric is available, during playback, long press M to enter lyrics interface Movie mode First, please convert the files into AMV format, we have included distribution disk with convert tools If you want to use earphone, please insert earphone to the earphone jack first. In the main menu, select Movie, press M to enter, short press to play movie. Select a movie: : Previous movie; :Next movie. Volume adjust: Short press, volume down Short press, volume up Record model Please make sure the battery has enough capacity before making record. Each fold can save up to 99 voice recording files. Listening to a saved channel: If you have over one channel saved, You can press listen to saved channel in order 8. Auto search Press M, enter into submenu,press, select Auto search, it will search in 100 KHz forward, and Save the channel automatically. 9. File select mode Press M into photo file list, as below Press / select next/previous file IF have not files, it will be empty folder. 12 Play set: Manual play and Auto play Auto play: Can set auto turn page time from 1-10 seconds. Long press M, return to main menu. Setup 1. Enter into main menu 2. Press M into Date & time interface 2. Short press to set from year, year is in selected mode. Page 11

13 3. Press to increase( to decrease) 4. Short press switch to month setup 5. After adjust, press M to confirm and exit. LCD Setting Black screen means: black screen setting. Press / to select from 0-30 seconds, then press M to confirm. If you want the screen light all the way, select 0 is OK. Language Setting Press M enter into language interface. 2. Press / Select the language you want to use as default 3. Press M to confirm. Power off Setting Please note: You can set time in seconds on off time mode, allow the player shut down automatically when player become stop and idle for the period you have set. This function is void if the time set to 0. You can set time in seconds on Sleep mode, allow the player shut down automatically when the player become idle (regardless current status) for the period you have set. It is designed for listening music before sleep. Please note: Sleep mode valid only once after setting, you have to set again if you want to use it next time. Replay setting In Manual Mode you should set repeat point manually. In Auto Mode the player can identify sentence automatically when on A-B repeat. Memory info. You can check total memory space and the percentage of usage. Firmware version You can find the player s firmware s version. Page 12

14 Firmware upgrade Use for upgrade player s firmware. Note: After short press M to set the option, short press to exit from the menu. E-book 1. Under main menu, press to select file and press M to entry corresponding submenu: Short press M to enter Main menu interface, press select the menu of the file you want to read,short press M key to exit to last menu. Note: If the file you want to read is in the submenu of remove disk, no need to select menu. Play set: There are manual play and auto play. Manual play, you can press / to read file. Auto play: Set time (seconds),player automatic turn over the page. Selected the file, short pres play button begin to read. Supported Windows 2000 or above (no need for drivers). The player supports USB power supply. To entry, when on waiting mode, press M return to main menu and choose the operation you need while the player is connected to PC. This player supports Suspend mode. When connected to PC, The player works on the three modes below: Connect PC Download data Upload data Page 14

16 Upgrade your player You can use Pc software to maintain or upgrade player s firmware. 1. Connect player to PC 2. Running upgrade tools MP3 Player Update Tool (supplied with installation CD), then click Select new firmware file to choose the upgrade file. 3. Select a new firmware file. 4. Click Start Upgrade, the upgrade process will start. Page 15

While upgrade successful, the player will display like this: Firmware upgrade is to improve player s performance; you can still use it normally without doing upgrade process Player may not work by incorrect process! Please read this manual carefully before doing upgrade process. The upgrade software cannot work for other player and vice verse. Other settings Choose other fold (Stop submenu) You can classify files into several different folders that ease to manage them (folders should be created on PC). The player can identify 9 folders in root 1. When stopped 2. Press M to entry Stop submenu Page 16

Press M to entry the selected folder Please note: You can set folders independently in Music / Recorder / Play mode Delete file (Stop submenu) You delete correspond files/channels in each Music/Play/FM modes. 1.When Stopped. (No stop interface in FM mode) 2. Press M to entry Stop submenu 3. Press / to choose Delete or Delete all 4. Press / to select YES, if you don t want delete, select NO 5. Press M to confirm delete Delete all will delete all files in current folder of current mode. I.e. Choose Delete all in Music mode will delete all music files; recorder files will not be affected. On FM mode, all saved channel will be removed. Page 17

19 Please safely removed player and unplug USB cable after delete files on PC, otherwise some files will not be removed. Play mode (Play submenu) You can choose different play mode (i.e. repeat, shuffle) when playing music or recorded files REPEAT (Normal) (Repeat One) (Folder) (Repeat Folder) (Repeat All) Playing music files in sequence until the end of folder Repeat single music file Play all music files in folder Repeat all music files in folder Repeat all music files SHUFFLE (Random) Play music files in folder randomly INTRO (Intro) Play the first 10s of each music files in sequence Tempo rate (Play submenu) You can choose different play speed when play music. (Only valid to MP3 files) 1. While playing music 2. Push M to entry play submenu 3. Push key to select Tempo rate option 4. Push M to entry 5. Push for faster, for slower Note: Play speed will be applied to all music files. Repeat A-B mode (Play submenu) A-B Repeat 1. When play music or recorded files. 2. Press M to entry play submenu 3. Press key to select into Repeat A-B option 4. Press M to confirm A of Symbol flashes, waiting for starter A 5. Press to select A B of symbol flashes, waiting confirm of B point 6. Press to select B Page 18

20 Symbol A-B fixed and starting repeat between A-B. Under this mode, press REC to reset A point (the playback time is referred to the A-B repetition) Karaoke Mode (No such Function in Playing mode) 1. Under A-B repeating 2.Short press to enter this mode 3. When repeat icon change to Karaoke icon, player begins recording voice to the length of A-B repeat period. 4. Upon time reaches, player resume play music file and the symbol replaced to, push entry contrast function. Press REC returns to Repeat A-B status. Contrast Function (No such Function in playing mode) 1. While entry contrast function, repeat symbol displayed as, the original sound will be played. 2. While finish original, repeat symbol will be replaced to, player will play the voice recorded. Push REC return to Karaoke mode Press M button to exit repeat mode upon above three modes. Repeat times (Play submenu) Repeat time determines the times of play A-B repeat until exit Repeat interval (Play submenu) Repeat interval determines the time period between previous repeat (in seconds). About Secret Space NOTE: MP3 Player Disk Tool is not compatible with Windows Vista. Some MP3 user may worry about divulging secret. They do not want others to find private information contained, therefore these data have to be removed before lend their own MP3 to others. It makes some trouble. However, this problem has totally solved by Secret Space technique! You can use provided software to divide the whole USB disk into two parts, and encrypt one of them. You can move your privacy into the encrypted part; they will be protected by password. To active Secret Space : 1. Connect your player to PC 2. Run Media Player Disk Managerl which can be found in provided CDROM Page 19

21 3. Click Partition and Encrypt card, Allocate appropriate space and set username and password, and then click Start. 4. After restart you will find two disks (only one disk can be seen on Windows 2K SP4or prior), click the encrypted disk (the second one) as follow: Page 20

22 5.Running executable file RdiskDecrypt.exe and input username and password. If all are correct, disk will be opened, and files can be copied into. 6.You must enter username and password each time access encrypted disk. Warning: Divide one disk into parts will remove all data and so does combine process. Warning: Please remember username and password. If you forget it, you can only making combine processing and you will loss all encrypted data. Convert Video files into AMV format The below video formats could be converted into AMV format video file by using Program tools provided in the assorted CD driver: AVI format (.avi) Windows Media format (.asf,.wmv &.wma) MPEG 1 format (.mpg, mpeg &.dat) Realplayer format (.rm) Quicktime format (.mov) MPEG 2 format (.vob) NOTE: to convert some formats it is necessary to have installed the related codec (for example quicktime for.mov files or DivX Codec for some.avi files) Installation: Put the assorted CD driver onto your computer CD disk driver, open the file clip name AMV transfer tool, select program named Setup.exe and double click it to run the installation program. After installation finish, you could find the program named Media Player Utilities 4.25 in your computer, select the AMV&AVI Video Converter to start your converting. 1. Run AMV&AVI Video Converter, click to choose the folder where to save the AMV files, then click to select the position where the original files are. Page 21

23 2. Select unprocessed AMV/AVI files, then click, the icon will be highlighted into and a dialog box will show. Choosing the setting of the AMV/AVI file you want to obtain, then click OK to confirm. (Note: Only pixels in 160 * 120 can be supported for this player at AMV format, pls refer below) 3. Click to start converting Page 22

24 4. After convert, the AMV files will be played automatically. Troubleshooting No Power No Sound Strange characters on display FM has bad performance Cannot Download Music Check if battery have no power Make sure you have switched the player on Make sure volume is not on 0 position and the connection to earphone is valid Please make sure the earphone is clean Damaged MP3 files may have noise and even cannot be played Make sure you have chose correct language Adjust place of player and earphone Switch off power appliance nearby Earphone MUST be used as antenna Check USB cable, and make sure the player is properly connected to the PC Check if the driver has well installed Check if there is still blank memory Page 23
