2 eseries is Autonomic's new model series, that distributes audio to the various rooms in a house over an existing IP network. This is not only perfect for retrofits, but it also makes the initial installation easier. The "Central Sound" concept, that provides audio distribution from a central point, usually the rack, is still valid. But also decentralization is now an option to get audio easier to where it s needed. Up to 16 eseries audio servers and amplifiers can be installed on the same network. An ideal eseries installation would be the central installation of the MMS-1e audio servers in the rack and the decentralized installation of the M-120e amplifiers in those rooms where audio is required. The small form factor of both devices allows for an "invisible" installation, e.g. in a wall box or behind the TV. All previous professional features such as Hi-res audio, scalability up to 96 zones and connection to almost all control systems such as RTI, Crestron, AMX, Control4 and many more, are available with the new products. 5 Decentralized installation example with WiFi The installation example shows a decentralized installation of both, MMS-1e audio server and M-120e multizone amplifier. This makes sense in situations, where network is not available in all rooms. The MMS-1e receives audio from Spotify, TuneIn or other streaming services via WiFi from the Internet Router in the basement. MMS-1e streams the audio to the M-120e 4 zone amplifier that delivers audio to the speakers through its 4 stereo outputs. Also DTS Play-Fi compatible wireless speakers can be connected directly to the MMS-1e (DTS Play-Fi not available yet, but will be with future firmware update).
