With seven channels for closed caption and seven channels for audio, the wireless receiver box provides flexibility for theatre owners to provide individual support for viewers requiring glasses or headphones or both. The receiver box provides power for over 6 hours viewing on a single battery charge. The system supports operation with digital cinema servers from Sony and other manufacturers that transmit closed caption information in SMPTE format. HI audio (assistive audio for hearing impaired) and VI-N audio (audio description for visually impaired) are both supported. Selective audio options The receiver box supports HI audio (assistive audio for hearing impaired) and VI-N audio (audio description for visually impaired). Sony Entertainment Access Glasses The receiver box connects directly to Sony Entertainment Access Glasses (available separately) and allows easy user adjustment of caption brightness and perceived viewing distance. Long battery life The receiver box provides power for over 6 hours viewing on a single battery charge. Easy wireless operation Closed caption data stream and optional audio is transmitted to the receiver box from STWA-C101 data transmitter (available separately). RF transmission does not require line-of-sight, allowing comfortable viewing from any seat in the auditorium. Multi-language caption support The receiver box lets cinema viewers select subtitles from any of up to six closed caption language versions. Number of available languages depends on movie content in DCP (Digital Cinema Package) format. Works with Sony and third-party cinema servers The system supports operation with digital cinema servers from other manufacturers that transmit Closed Caption information in SMPTE format (e.g. Doremi Labs Inc, Dolby Laboratories Inc), as well as Sony LMT-200 and LMT-300 Media Blocks.
