The platforms have been renamed for a more generic recognition to Common Product Platform, short CPP, followed by the architecture-related number or suffix. The filenames are adapted accordingly. 5 3 New Main Features for CPP4 products (excerpt) Intelligent Defog, also called idefog, is an implementation of contrast enhancement for foggy scenes. New algorithm makes the level control speed faster when changing the light condition. Resolution 1280x960 with aspect ratio 4:3 is supported on selected cameras Scene modes (former user modes) update up to 9 scene modes for selected cameras TINYON IP 2000 PIR has a PIR sensor for motion detection, which can be used as a standard input to the alarm rule engine and as a recording trigger. New wireless LAN camera TINYON IP 2000 WI supports WPS. Activated WPS mode is indicated by 0.5 Hz blinking. Automated Network Replenishment, ANR 2.0, has been enhanced to provide more robustness against SD card failures, including the possibility to add alternative storages. SD cards are automatically detected, prepared for use, and recording started without configuration required. SD card is added to managed storage media even if not inserted. A storage system indicator icon has been added to the Web page s title, providing a quick indication about the health status of SD card recording by green, yellow, or red colour. An alarm is created if recording stops, usable in Alarm Task Scripting. IPv6 stateless autoconfiguration has been enabled to allow IPv6 routability. The Auto-IPv6 address is displayed in Web browser menu below the manual IPv6 address, but is not configurable. Auto-IP assignment for IPv4 (aka Link local, APIPA) has been added as an alternative setting to pure DHCP. In this mode, if no DHCP server is responding after 10 seconds, a link-local address will be chosen x has been enhanced by EAP/TLS using specific certificate. Certificates for client and server side can be uploaded to be used for authentication. After a network link is re-established EAPOL communication is initiated to restart 802.1x authentication even if the switch does not initiate this. Secure SMTP over Transport Layer Security (TLS/SSL) is supported according to RFC Connection is established using plain text on port 25; then TLS is negotiated with StartTLS command. 6 4 Changes for CPP5 products The number of RTSP connections has been increased to 64, allowing an extensive number of video streams to be connected in parallel in ONVIF environments. An issue has been fixed where in very rare cases the network interface was disabled after booting or rebooting, causing the device not responding to any network traffic until a manual power cycle. An issue with the queue for ONVIF event handling has been fixed. Please check the release letter of CPP5 FW 5.90 for features in completeness and details. 5 New Features for CPP3 products With a Bilinx dome connected to a VIP-X1XF, PTZ control is now available via the Video Security app. Tamper detection is now also possible on VOT-320. ONVIF: a timeout range for continuous move has been added. ONVIF GetDigitalInputs is now implemented. Enhanced Chinese character set with Unicode support. 7 6 Restrictions; Known Issues This firmware and its included platform firmware builds are not applicable to MPEG-4 products. The final firmware version for VIP-X1600-XFM4 modules is FW No newer firmware can be loaded onto these modules. The final firmware version for CPP3 devices is FW No newer firmware can be loaded onto these modules. The Combined Firmware file does not load onto VG4 AutoDome or AutoDome Easy II via the browser when running a firmware version before The specific platform file should be used instead. Cameras or encoders with a minimum firmware version that is higher than the lowest firmware version in the combined firmware file may show error 0x0b in the upload history which can be ignored. Firmware upload is not affected by this. Please check the respective release letter of a camera or encoder for further device-specific restrictions. 7
