3 1 Attentions: Do not open or disassemble the product without authorization, in case of electric shock, or equipment damage. Do not pile up and pressure heavily on the screen. Do not use sharp objects to avoid scratch on the screen. Do not let children play with the equipment. Do not drop, knock, or shake the equipment from height(rough handing can damage internal circuit boards.) Do not touch the equipment with waterish hands when charging the battery, it will cause electric shock to injure person and damage the equipment. Do not put the equipment in dusty, dirtyplace, or the parts may be damaged. Do not place the device in High temperature environment, it may shorten the battery life and damage the parts. Keep the device dry and clean. Frequently Asked Questions Q: Why it can t receive the satellite signal? A: Satellites broadcast signals to enable GPS receive the information of the Earth's surface to locate and synchronized time. The most common factor that interferes with a GPS signal is what is termed "Urban Canyon." The high rise building and skyscrapers block and weak signal receiving. So if you cannot receive signal, please go to an open area to receive signal. Q: Why when I click Navigation Icon, it has nothing happen, can t enter the map? A: Please set the Navi Path: Navi Path Navigation Path Resident Flash, set step by step, until it shows.exe, if still can t set, please contact us! Q: Why the screen not respond when I click the icon on it? 3

4 A: As it is a resistive screen, please click the icon with your nail instead of your finger. Q: The map is too old, how can I update the map? A: We preloaded the newest maps before shipping, usually, we provide maps update per year for customers, if you need update map, please contact us. Q: Why the map information is not the same as the actual road information? A: As the map updates per year, there are some minor different between the map and actual road information, we suggest you update your map to the latest version. Q: How to change the vehicle mode? A: Only one vehicle mode works each time, when you want to select different vehicles, please follow the steps below: More-Setting-Route Settings-Vehicle, after you select, please exit the navigation, then enter it again. Q: How and where do I input a postcode? A: First, click the Navigation icon. Once the maps section has initiated, you click the Find icon, then click the Find Address icon, where is says Town,click it and you can enter either a postcode or a town. Most people think there is no postcode option, because it says Town only, while just click this and you can input postcode OR town. Tip: You MUST input a Space between a postcode, such as OL12 Space 9SG as opposed to OL12 9SG. Just be sure to input the space between the 3 or 4-digit first set of characters. Q: Directions and voice alerts are not loud enough? A: First, please remove the plastic film that covers the back. Second, turn off the FM.Third, you are inside the maps area, click the More icon. Then click the Settings icon, and click Sounds and Warnings and 4

5 then click Volume and slide the round icon to full volume. You can also click the down arrow afterwards and scroll down to the Key section and slide the round icon to full volume too. This allows you to adjust the volume. Q: Why the battery does not last long time? A: With a fully charged battery, you can expect about anhourusing before it dies. The rechargeable battery in this GPS(and basically 99.9% on ebay)are not designed to last a long time like a mobile phone.considering the full battery charge as more for emergency use. Plug in your car charger while driving will be better. Q: The screen is not bright enough, what can I do? A: There's an icon named "Brightness" on the main menu. You can adjust the brightness of the screen. Also, please kind try to adjust the angle of the screen, since in different angle, the screen may have a little difference. so, please adjust it and find the suitable angle of your GPS. Getting Started 3.1 Navigator Here will introduce functions and features Power Supply and Charge Please use car charger to fully charge when the navigator being used at the first time; if the navigator can not charge, please try to use wall charger for charging Power Supply This machine adopts built-in, unchangeable Lithium battery. In normal condition (if the back light is not so bright), the actual supply hour may different due to the different using way.some functions(like audio playing, video playing, bright back light) will consume power Use Car Charger to Supply Power 5

6 1. Connect the DC part of the adaptor with the power interface; 2. Supply power by connecting to the power socket. It can last 1 hour with a fully charged battery.all GPS battery can not last long time like other electronics. Fully charging in case of emergency use. Plug in car charger while driving could be better. Note Please insert the car charger after starting the car so as not to damage the machine or charger result from electricity collision Connect with computer The device can be connected with the computer through the MINI USB. Then, you can copy the documentor data of navigator from computer when you are in need of them. 1. Please confirm the GPS navigator is power on; 2. Connect the GPS with computer, the screen will display the interface as below: 6

7 Enter into USB mode indicates it is connected to the PC, the PC can auto recognize new GPS navigation; GPS navigation will stop the current operation and switch into the PC connected interface. Note Data security: In order to avoid the data loss, Please copy the data to other storage devices to backup. Remark The GPS navigator will quit work when connected with computer, while any operations can be performed in USB mode. Note In the process of transferring data, the following operations will break off the connection and result in data losing. 1. Pull out the USB cable; 2. Power off 3. Reset the system (click reset button or electric switch.) 3.2 Navigator Menu The Main Interface and Function When you turn on the GPS, there are some function icons on the menu; the following functions are mostly used Main Menu Menu Page: 7

8 Calibrate If touch the screen is not working or not accurate,please calibrate, set path as follows: Settings-Calibrate. Click to enter into calibration interface via stylus, click +arrow, the arrow will move as: center, top left, lower left, top right, lower right, set the position as you like, click OK to save it. If you don t want to save the setting, keep 30 seconds, the system will end the setting interface automatically. 8

9 FM Here FM not means FM radio; it is FM transmitter and is used for transferring the sound to the car. Click, turn on the FM, and adjust the frequency. FM transmitter is used for transferring the audio signal into receiving device. Take FM 90.0mhz for example, the navigation frequency is same as receiving frequency, 90.0MHZ, then the two devices are in same frequency band, which make the navigation output the sound. When the FM is on, the device is in silent mode automatically System Language Set path as follows: Settings-Language. It offers more than 30 languages Volume Set path as follows: Settings-Volume Brightness Set path as follows: Settings-Backlight, then you can adjust the backlight brightness and bright screen time. 9

10 Factory Set If there s something wrong with the navigator (such as can t find the Signal), you can reset the factory restore function. Set path as follows: Settings-Factory Restore Naviconfig(Navi Path) Please reset the file path after updating the map. The GPS can remember it automatically. Set path as follows:settings-naviconfig GPS View If it can t find the signal, please reset the GPS information. Set path as follows:tools Gps Info. 10

11 Date/Time Date/Time Set path as follows: Settings-Date/Time. 3.3Navigation Features and Operation According to your navigation system, the GPS navigator can make position by GPS satellite signal receiver and display on the navigation map. The system can calculate the optimal route after setting the destination, which can help arrive the destination safely and rapidly. The system can let you enjoy the individual charm and your trip in different ways, such as vision map, vivid animation, voice indication, and words indication. The specific navigation functions are depended on your navigating software. Please refer to the Navigation Software Instruction. Notes 1. Map information The navigation data might inconsistent with the actual traffic situation please be subject to the traffics instructions. 2. Receiving signal Many factors such as high, dense buildings (in the tunnel, between the high building, underground parking, under the trestle), various weather condition, and closure of the satellite will affect receive signal and result in inaccurate position, inefficiency of navigation operation Navigation Menu Navigation Menu interface is as follows: You have the following options: Click to select your destination by entering an 12

13 address or selecting place. You can also look up your recent destinations from the Smart History or enter a coodinate. When internet connection is available, Google Local Search can be a further help to find your destination. Click to display the route parameters and the route length shows on the map. You can also perform route-related actions such as edit or cancel your route, set start point for the route, pick route alternatives, avoid parts of the route, simulate navigation or add the destination. Click to customize the way of the navigation software works, to simulate demo routes or to run some additional applications. Click to start navigating. The button itself is a miniature live map that shows your current position, recommended route and surrounding map area. Click the button to enlarge the map to the full screen. Click to stop navigation and exit the software. Press the Home button to switch to another application. If Background Navigation is turned on in Advanced Settings, voice guidance remains active. 13

17 3.3.3 Destination Setting steps: Destination-Find Address Please kindly note: As it can t connect to internet,it can t find the address intelligently, which means you need to select country, city or put ZIP code, The GPS can t find the address directly without country and city. 17
