14 The Opioid Epidemic There were almost 64,000 drug overdose deaths in 2016, the largest annual jump ever recorded in the United States, according to the CDC.

15 State Targeted Response Technical Assistance

16 Mission Overall mission: to provide training and technical assistance via local experts to enhance prevention, treatment (especially medication-assisted treatment like buprenorphine, naltrexone, and methadone), and recovery efforts across the country addressing state and local -specific needs.
