2 Overview With Team Foundation Service (aka Team Foundation Server in the cloud), your code is accessible from anywhere. Whether you are a distributed development team or a freelancer, Team Foundation Service allows you to be up-and-running in a few minutes. You will experience the best on-line environment for professional software development, targeting multiple platforms from multiple programming languages. The workshop will demonstrate you from the start how to setup your personal environment with Team Foundation Service and you will be advised how you can structure your code in Team Projects (branching & merging guidelines) to make use of the advanced cloud-powered source code management features. During the course, you will also be introduced to the agile planning tools (task board, backlog management, capacity planning, feedback requests) which are available from any web-browser connected to Team Foundation Service. Windows 8 is one of the biggest releases of Microsoft, time for you to jump on the app wagon. If you are a.net developer or a WEB dude, you can create apps and put them in the store to reach "the world". Building Windows 8 apps is all nice and good, but you will also need to master the art of testing and deploying your apps to the Windows Store. We will demo and explain you how cloud builds may help you to automate testing & deployment to complete your application lifecycle management. At the end of the full-day workshop, you will have built a Windows 8 App with Team Foundation Service and you will have experienced how the Microsoft Testing tools (Microsoft Test Manager) are designed to improve the collaboration between developers and testers, focusing on the characteristics of Windows 8 apps. You will be coached by two experienced teachers who will ramp up your skills in a single day.

Next to delivering courses and presentations Kevin also has a lot of practical experience by working on big projects at big customers. Kevin is also a lector at the Technical University of West Flanders where he prepares the next generation web developers.
