2 JavaForge.com Story JavaForge.com Story In 2005, Javalobby.com a free Java community forum was looking for collaborative software development (CSD) portal for their community. JavaForge committers were looking for find alternatives against Sourceforge.net and CollabNet s Tigris.org They used Gforge, a PHP based system but were not satisfied Selected CodeBeamer, a Java based commercial CSD platform which mainly fulfilled their needs 2007 Intland Software 3 What happens in the Open Source Communities? Open Source project resulted well known operating systems, servers, databases Global development teams are working together around the world Developers with Passion = Good Results Trends Growing Open Source communities Growing interest from corporate IT shops and VCs 2007 Intland Software 4
