4 Test Centers of Excellence: A key trend and growing priority 61% of companies surveyed in latest World Quality Report plan to or are already developing TCoEs (up from 45% last year). 6% already have a fully operational TCoE in place (up from 4% last year) Market unpredictability Some businesses still looking to shave 30-40% off their testing budgets. While QA budgets are increasing, still a need to control costs Technology expectations Growing demand to deliver applications as quickly, efficiently and as cheaply as possible, and so a need for reliable, centralised testing resources Diversity of delivery models QA departments are maximising on efficiency gains offered by the cloud, and agile testing (currently being used by 37% of testers)

5 Why build a TCoE? For us, the move towards a TCoE is part of the wider union between the business and IT side of the organisation. It does increase pressure on testing to be more efficient as a whole decentralised testing teams just couldn t provide that efficiency whereas shared experience and best practice are far easier within a TCoE framework.
