2 KS8104A Product Overview The TAP HTML5 plugin is a result listener that allows users to publish test results from any TAP Test Step to an HTML5 formatted document. It is designed to be flexible and the user can easily control various aspects of the report using HTML5 templates. Several templates are included with the plugin for out-of-the-box functionality and as starting points which can be modified as needed. Plugin Workflow Add HTML5 Result Listner Configure Settings Run Test Plan View Results 1. Add the HTML5 Result Listener in the TAP Bench Settings 2. Configure the output settings including the file Template. Note that templates are provided or custom templates can be created. 3. Run your Test Plan 4. Open the HTML file that was generated to view the results Key Features The plugin settings dialog allows for configuration such as the Filename, selecting a template, and a custom image. All the available settings are shown below: Page 2

3 Example Report Output: To customize the output report, the user needs to modify an existing HTML report template or create a new one. Some knowledge of CSS/HTML5 is needed to edit report templates. You can find the existing templates in TAP_PATH/Plugins/HTML5/ Templates folder. The following tags can be defined in a custom html template: LOGO TITLE PREAMBLE STEPDATA LOG SUMMARY VERDICT DATETIME SUMMARY_SHORT SUMMARY_LONG BENCH_DUTS BENCH_INSTRUMENTS OPERATOR_NAME STATION_NAME This tag places the logo image file on the report. This file is selected using the Logo Image in the plugin settings dialog. Test Report Title. A Combination of TITLE, DATETIME, OPERATOR_NAME. This tag specifies the location of tabular and/or graphical view of output data. This tag is used to place either a data table, a chart or a chart image in any combination (all or any) The output log (same as the one visible in the TAP GUI). Summarizes the test plan run. Test lan Verdict. Can be one of Pass, Fail, Not Set, Inconclusive, Error. String including date and time stamp. A Brief summary only of the top level steps Summary of top level steps and also individual child steps. A table of all the DUTs used in the test run. A table containing a list of all added instruments, corresponding visa address and identity string returned by the instrument. Name of the test operator. This is set under Engine in TAP settings. Name of the test station. This is set under Engine in TAP settings. Page 3
