2 Product Overview RG-ACE 5000 RG-ACE 3000D RG-ACE 2000D With the rapid development of information technologies and the increased use of network applications, the structure and traffic of networks become extremely complex. Thus, to increase the entire network performance within complex network traffic, Internet egress plays an important role. Ruijie Application Control Engine, RG-ACE series is designed specially for egress traffic filtration. RG-ACE not only identifies various protocols but also classifies and manages application-based IP flows. RG-ACE series consists of three models - RG-ACE2000D, RG- ACE3000D and RG-ACE offering flow control and L7 application optimization for different scale of networks. Equipped with Deep Packet Inspection (DPI), RG-ACE comprehensively identifies and manages various L7 applications, such as IM, P2P, VoIP, stock software, video/streaming media, HTTP, video games and databases, so as to avoid bandwidth abuse and to reserve bandwidth for key applications. RG-ACE supports identification of the following: P2P software: Bittorrent, emule, Kuro, Napster, Audiogalaxy, Ezpeer, Kugoo, Gnutella, Vagaa, Soulseek, Poco, and Pigo, etc.

3 Accurate Application Identification (900+) Application Identification Report Application Identification Graphical Display With the professional DPI engine, RG-ACE identifies more than 900 of L7 applications and protocols, such as P2P, streaming media, instant messaging, office software online games and stock software. RG-ACE supports identification of the following: P2P software: Bittorrent, emule, Kuro, Napster, Audiogalaxy, Ezpeer, Kugoo, Gnutella, Vagaa, Soulseek, Poco, and Pigo, etc. IM applications: MSN, QQ, Yahoo, ICQ, AOL, WEBIM, IRC and XMPP, etc. Video/streaming media applications: RTSP, SIP, PPStream, PPLive, APPLeqtc, CCIPTV, Quicktime, Realplayer, MMS, QQLive, and H.324, etc. Stock software: Intelligent Stock Information Platform, Tianyi Stock Online Trading System, Huatai Online Trading and Analysis System, and Stock Star, etc. Customized application and protocol allow users to self-define/add specific applications or protocols based on the protocol quantity. -2-

4 Real-Time Monitoring, Analysis and Management RG-ACE provides in-depth information of each application. All the applications/protocols used in the network will be monitored/displayed in real-time, and they will be ranked according to their bandwidth usage. Real-time bandwidth display and analysis visualize network operation status, application and bandwidth usage, etc. Two types of traffic analyzers are available: protocol-based analyzer and IP address (user)- based analyzer, offering details such as source/destination IP address, port number, protocol, number of sessions and traffic. Users are able to deny or permit traffic by source IP address, destination IP address, time, protocol or application, including control of the uplink/downlink bandwidth and number of sessions. Group configuration is also supported, for example, user group and protocol group, etc. The same group has the same bandwidth policy. Professional Flow Control Technology Virtual Pipe & Channel Bandwidth Distribution Before and After Flow Control RG-ACE provides hierarchical bandwidth management. Administrators are able to create virtual pipes for network segments or groups and allocate desired amount of bandwidth to each users as well as to each application/protocol within the subnet. As shown in the figure below, the total bandwidth of the network is 100M. Firstly, administrator allocates 2M for subnet 2 and 1M for each user. The bandwidth for IE and P2P download can be limited as 900K. Sufficient bandwidth for the key applications is guaranteed. -3-

Bandwidth Distribution in Flow Control Bandwidth Pool Sharing Sharing the bandwidth pool helps to make full use of idle bandwidth. Bandwidth can be reserved for users with higher priority.

And when the users with higher priority go online again, the bandwidth will be returned to them.

However, the reserved bandwidth can be allocated to users with lower priority when the higher priority users are offline. And when the users with higher priority go online again, the bandwidth will be returned to them. Sharing the Bandwidth Pool Powerful URL Logging and Ideal Security Audition RG-ACE supports URL logging based on HTTP access and record five-tuple information (source IP, destination IP, URL, port, user name). RG-ACE can work with RG-eLog/RG-APM and RG-SMP to audit access behaviors by user IDs. Informative Logs and Graphical Reports RG-ACE provides application or protocol traffic record within one year. It offers an extensive library reports such as daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly bandwidth usage reports of applications/protocols. These include total bandwidth report, application/protocol bandwidth analysis report, analysis report based on traffic direction (inbound/ outbound), bandwidth analysis report based on the IP address and user-defined report. Besides, RG-ACE features automatic report export and notify users via on a regular basis. -4-

7 Traffic Report by Application Group Centralized Graphic Management Platform RG-ACE provides a graphical management platform, which enables a management server to centrally manage multiple ACE devices on the network. Applied with Java architecture, the graphical management platform is applicable to various OSs and servers. Users are able to access server remotely through web browser and manage all the devices. High Security and Reliability The firewall at the application layer identifies and blocks port scanning as well as DoS attacks. At the same time, RG-ACE improves network availability and security by controlling the number of sessions and bandwidth. Built-in copper port bypass module enables millisecond-level handover when RG-ACE is powered off or in the event of failure.
