1 MBX IP SIP Trunk Configuration Guide using AccessLine SIP trunk The information contained in this document is specific to setting up SIP connections between Vertical MBX IP and AccessLine Communications. 2 Web administration must be used to completely integrate SIP trunking with the MBX IP system. Slot Assignment(PGM 101) Confirm that the VOIB and on board VOIU show up in the slot assignment area. The VOIU on the MPB is always slot 0. The VOIB should show in the slot you have it assigned to. In our example it is installed in Slot 5. This so shows the actual CO line numbers assigned to the IP channels on the VOIB. In our example this is CO lines 1-8. MBX IP/AccessLine SIP Trunks 2

3 System IP Address plan(pgm ) Program the system IP address plan that will not conflict with the SIP account IP address. The default IP numbering plan for the MBX IP is X MBX IP/AccessLine SIP Trunks 3

4 VOIB/VMIB Attributes(PGM 305) Program the VOIB board IP address plan that will not conflict with the SIP account IP address. The default IP numbering plan for the MBX IP is X. The slot number you enter should be the slot in which the VOIB board is installed. In our example it is installed in Slot 5. MBX IP/AccessLine SIP Trunks 4

5 CO Line Attributes Dummy Dial Tone(PGM 160) Center the CO line range of the IP channels (1-8 in our example). Scroll down to PGM 162 area and enable the Dummy Dial Tone Service item and click Save. MBX IP/AccessLine SIP Trunks 5

6 SIP CO Basic Registration Select the SIP CO Basic Registration and enter the CO line range of the IP channels (1-8 in our example). Enter the SBC IP Address provided by AccessLine in the Main Proxy Address field. Enter the SBC Port provided by AccessLine in the Main Proxy Port field. 7 SIP CO Codec Select the SIP CO Codec and enter the CO line range of the IP channels (1-8 in our example). Set the first codec type to G.711u and the second codec type to G.729. MBX IP/AccessLine SIP Trunks 7

8 SIP CO User ID Table Enter the SIP Trunk ID provided by AccessLine in the Authentication User ID field. Enter the Password provided by AccessLine in the Authentication User Password field. Enter the new number provided by AccessLine in the Registration User ID field. Make sure Registration and Usage are enabled. 9 SIP CO Additional Registration Enter the Start and End indexes for the CO line group the VoIP channels are in, in our example channel are in CO line group 1. Also insure the Proxy Registration Time is set to 60. Set Proxy Registration timer to 60 MBX IP/AccessLine SIP Trunks 9

10 CO Line to DID Settings If you are using DID service from AccessLine, you need to identify DID as the Service type for the VOIP channel you are using and the Digit Conversion Table to use. Select the CO line range (1-8 in our example) and set the Service type to DID. Select Digit Conversion Table 1. MBX IP/AccessLine SIP Trunks 10

11 DID Digit Conversion Table If you are using DID service from AccessLine, this table defines the incoming DID digits and the destination you want those digits to route to. In our example we have an incoming DID number of and we are routing that to Station 100. Repeat this for all incoming DID numbers that require a destination.
