1 RAZBERI RUGGED PROFESSIONAL SERVERSWITCH NETWORK VIDEO RECORDER TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS: SECURITY SYSTEM DIVISION LEVEL 1_28: ELECTRONIC SAFETY AND SECURITY LEVEL 2_ : ELECTRONIC SURVEILLANCE LEVEL 3_ : VIDEO SURVEILLANCE LEVEL 3_ : DIGITAL VIDEO RECORDERS AND ANALOG RECORDING DEVICES 1 PART 1 GENERAL The intent of this document is to specify the minimum criteria for the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of the all-in-one ruggedized ServerSwitch Network Video Recorder. 1.1 DESCRIPTION A. The ruggedized ServerSwitch Network Video Recorder (the NVR ) supports simultaneous recording, viewing, search, and system management for up to 8 IP cameras including high definition formats. Multiple NVRs may be deployed for system expansion using a distributed architecture. The NVR is designed to operate in extremely harsh environments and conditions. 1.2 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS A. Equipment and materials used shall be standard components that are manufactured and available for purchase as standard replacement parts as long as the product is commercially available from the manufacturer. B. The NVR shall be factory assembled, designed for continuous duty allowing for commercial/industrial 24/7/365 use. C. The NVR shall be assembled as a small form factor appliance that can be wall mounted or mounted within a NEMA type enclosure. D. All manufactured products shall include, at no additional cost, phone and technical support services. 1.3 QUALITY ASSURANCE A. All manufactured products shall be thoroughly tested and proven in actual use. B. The manufacturer shall repair or replace without charge, manufactured products proven defective in material or workmanship for the stated warranty period from the date of shipment. 1.4 REFERENCES A. Open Network Video Interface Forum (ONVIF) 16. Real Time Streaming Protocol (RTSP) 1.5 CERTIFICATIONS AND STANDARDS A. The NVR shall meet or exceed these certifications and standards: 1. All NVR units shall be labeled with the UL logo and file number on each product. The manufacturer and the product shall be listed in the UL Online Certifications Directory. 1.6 WARRANTY A. All NVR units shall have a standard 3-year warranty on the complete unit. An optional 5 year warranty shall be available. 1.7 COUNTRY OF ORIGIN Rev. D 2

3 A. The manufacturer of the NVR shall certify that their products qualify as originating goods for the purposes of preferential tariff treatment under the NAFTA and the products qualify as Made in the USA. 2 PART 2 PRODUCTS 2.1 RUGGED NETWORK VIDEO RECORDER (NVR) HARDWARE A. The NVR processor shall be an Intel Core i5-4440e processor. B. The NVR shall support the following operating systems: 1. Windows Embedded Standard 7, 64-bit operating system. C. The NVR shall include a minimum of 8 GB and up to 16 GB of DDR3 RAM with a temperature range of at least -25C to 85C. D. The NVR shall support up to 4 TB of internal storage of extended temperature solid-state drives (SSD). E. The NVR shall use extended temperature rated SSDs with an operating temperature range of -40C to 85C for 24x7 operation. F. The NVR shall use one of the following SATA 3.0 compliant solid-state drives: 1. Legacy Electronics SSD24804P00141T0, 512 GB 2. Legacy Electronics SSD29604P00141T0, 1TB 3. Legacy Electronics SSD202T4P00141T0, 2TB G. The NVR shall have an esata port to support a Direct Attached Storage device for additional video storage. H. The NVR shall allow archival of video data to NAS (Network Attached Storage) devices over an IP network. I. The NVR shall provide a web-based hardware monitor tool to provide visibility to network port status. J. The NVR shall provide a web-based hardware monitor tool that toggles PoE on/off for each LAN port. K. The NVR shall include LED displays to indicate the disposition of power, PoE, network activity and disk drive activity. L. The NVR shall include one HDMI port. M. The NVR shall have (4) USB 3.0 ports to support keyboard, mouse and thumb drive for firmware updates. 2.2 EMBEDDED SMARTSWITCH Rev. D 3

4 A. The NVR shall include an embedded layer 2 PoE Managed Switch. B. The NVR Managed Switch shall include: 1. (8) 10/100 Mbps LAN ports operating at full or half-duplex mode 2. At least (1) Gigabit (1000 Mbps) uplink port operating at full duplex mode. 3. (1) Gbps SFP (Small Form-factor Pluggable) combo port that can support either copper or fiber media (1000BASE-X). 4. (8) 10/100 Mbps LAN ports that support IEEE 802.3af/at PoE. C. The NVR Managed Switch shall support a total PoE output of at least 200W. D. The NVR Managed Switch shall support a Virtual LAN (VLAN) configuration. E. The NVR Managed Switch shall provide port security using the following methods: 1. MAC address based F. The NVR Managed Switch shall include an embedded DHCP server. 2.3 VIDEO MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE (VMS) A. The NVR shall host third party Video Management Software (VMS). The NVR shall host the following software products: 1. 3VR VisionPoint 2. Avigilon Control Center 3. Axis Camera Station 4. DIGIOP 5. Exacq exacqvision 6. Genetec Omnicast 7. ISS SecurOS 8. Milestone XProtect Go 15. OnSSI Ocularis Verint Nextiva B. The NVR manufacturer shall provide an authorized document that supports the VMS certification. C. The NVR shall include a VMS installation wizard that allows the installer to select and install supported VMS products. 2.4 NETWORK PORT SECURITY Rev. D 4

5 A. The NVR shall make available an Ethernet port lock utility. B. The Ethernet port lock utility shall scan all NVR PoE ports to identify attached devices and enable selection of specific devices to communicate on each PoE port as an authorized device. C. The Ethernet port lock shall prevent unselected or unauthorized devices from communicating through the PoE ports. 2.5 SYSTEM HEALTH MONITORING A. The NVR shall make available a cloud based health monitoring system that provides real-time status and alerts on the health of the NVR and its connected network cameras and security devices. B. The health monitor shall automatically capture a minimum of the following NVR information: 1. Serial Number 2. Model Name 3. Machine Name 4. Local Time 5. Time Zone 6. Operating System version and serial number 7. CPU Model and clock speed 8. Memory Capacity 9. HDD manufacturer, models and serial numbers, SATA Speed 10. Embedded Ethernet Switch port count, firmware version and MAC ID 11. NIC link state and speed 12. IP address, subnet, gateway and DNS information C. The health monitor shall record a minimum of the following NVR status information in real-time (at least once every 5 minutes): 1. CPU utilization 2. HDD free space, R/W rates, I/O performance 3. Memory utilization D. The health monitor shall at record the following PoE port information in real-time (at a minimum of once every 10 minutes): 1. Power draw 2. Packet counts E. The health monitor shall identify a minimum of the following NVR failure events: 1. Lost heartbeat (NVR is not responsive) 2. HDD failure F. The health monitor shall identify a minimum of the following failure events associated with network cameras: 1. Camera Video Loss 2. Camera Failure Rev. D 5

6 G. The health monitor shall automatically deliver event notification by configurable SMS text and SMTP messaging. H. The health monitor shall provide a web-based user interface. I. The user interface shall provide graphs of historical performance of the following: 1. CPU performance 2. Memory usage 3. Network traffic 4. HDD activity performance 5. Camera power draw 6. Camera packet rates 2.6 ENCLOSURE A. The NVR enclosure shall be mountable using DIN rails. The overall dimensions shall not exceed: W x 3.5 D x 9.5 H (inches). 2.7 POWER SOURCE A. The NVR shall utilize a UL certified (UL 508 (industrial control equipment) approved EN (EN ) external DIN rail power supply unit (PSU). B. The NVR shall be compatible with the following external PSU models: 1. Mean Well NDR Mean Well NDR C. The power supply shall have an input of VAC, 2.5A with an output rating of 240W, 52VDC, 5A (NDR ), or D. Alternatively, the power supply shall have an input of VAC, 2.5A with an output rating of 480W, 52VDC, 10A (NDR ). E. The power supply shall operate in an ambient temperature range of -20C to 70C. F. The power supply shall operate in an ambient humidity range of 20-95% RH (non-condensing). 2.8 ENVIRONMENTAL A. The NVR shall operate in an ambient temperature range of -20 C to +60 C. B.
