3 1 General Description isentek is a 3-axis digital magnetometer with mm 3, 4-pin WLCSP-BGA package. It is an integrated chip with 3-axis magnetic sensors, digital control logic,, built-in temperature compensation circuit and self-test function. provides an I 2 C digital output with fast mode up to 400 khz. The high output data rate, ultra-low noise, ultra-low u hysteresis and excellent output stability over working temperature t range make it a perfect product for high applications requiring high outstanding accuracy. 9 4 Technology Overview 4.1 AMR Technology, an isentek patented magnetomete er is designed based on Anisotropy y Magneto-Resistance (AMR) technology. The output is generatedd from the resistance change of the AMR resistors while external magnetic field changes.. The sensitivity is about 50 to 200 times larger r than traditional Hall element depending on designed dynamic range. The highh sensitivity allows highh response speed with lower noise and lower power consumption. 4.2 High Reliability Monolithic Design consists of full AMR Wheatstone Bridges detecting magnetic component in three directions, orthogonal to each other. Monolithic packaging of enabless outstandingg stability to thermal shock and ultra-small footprint, making it a high efficient and robust device. d 4.3 Ultra-low Hysteresis Design The ultra-low hysteresis design of 6 prevents the magnetometer from dynamic offset after encountering a strong external magnetic field impact. Practically, the angular accuracy restores spontaneously after the removall of magnetic interferences. This feature of minimizes the requirement of user calibration, providingg a much better user experience e as comparing to the conventional products like Hall sensor s whichh need frequently calibration to ensuree required precision. 4.4 Magnetic Setting Mechanism AMR sensing resistors consist off high permeability thin film and metallization. AMR resistors are soft magnetic, irreversible magnetic rotation mayy occur after experiencing strong external magnetic field, resulting in angular error inducedd by the residual magnetization in thee sensitive direction. To solve s this issue, a magnetic setting mechanism is introduced in. A magnetic m fieldd is generated within to align the magnetization of AMR sensing resistors before b everyy measurement.
